We offer opportunities for Medical students, Doctors, Nurses, Dentist, midwives, pre medical students, Gap year student passionate in health, to do their internship, observership, clinical skills or elective placement in Tanzania hospitals in Dar es salaam, we work with government hospital which is busiest and with lots of cases to learn, the program might involve community Outreach programs with local doctors and Volunteers at some point.

Description:
Volunteer has to pay 154€ for accommodations, food, pick up from airport), 50€ one time for Organisation fee and 100€ one time hospital fee.

Program Details
If you are looking for a medical volunteer abroad experience, then this medical program in Tanzania may be ideal and the best fit for you! You will work in Dar es salaam Tanzania, at a busiest public hospital, which receive medical students from all over the world.
Volunteers will rotate in a variety of departments, including nursing and dentistry, EMD and Trauma, Orthopedics, Maternity or midwifery, pediatric, neonatal ward, Clinics in OPD, Internal Medicine department, practice wards and Surgical departments.
Depending on your experience, you will be allowed to Suture, check up the patients vitals, or assist a surgeon. Volunteers also help collect information and measurements from the patients such as blood pressure, temperature, and height/weight and be available to assist the doctors and other medical staff when required.
Activities & Shift
When you join this medical volunteer program , your responsibilities will depend on your education, experience and qualifications. While volunteers will not be allowed to perform major diagnostic or surgical work, you will have a vital role to play in assisting and interacting with patients.
Your Activities will start around 8am where there will be a morning reports from night shift and ward rounds, with whole team of doctors, Nurses and students. It's interactive ward round will depend on department you are rotating, after round you can go to theater, or to OPD Clinics or stick in the ward to help other doctors to accomplish the ward round orders.
Leaving time is 3pm, but once you done with your day activities, you can leave the hospital. And you will have time to explore nice beaches, the city, or local dishes, and more.
