Have a Happy Time in Osaka with us!

The hostel is well equipped, work hours are respected, and it's a great place to volunteer in Japan, especially since it's easy to travel from Osaka to other destinations. The work is simple, and we often finish early depending on the number of volunteers. The bosses host events where you learn to cook local dishes, and they even invited us to a baseball game. However, Takeo sometimes threatens to fire people for trivial reasons like forgetting to clean a glass, without considering that we're far from home. More consideration is needed.

I had a very good time at the guest house. The work was quite easy and we usually finished within the three hours. The location of the hostel is great and you can reach everything fast either by train or with one of the three bikes provided by the hostel. The hosts were very friendly and spent some nice evenings together with the staff.

This was a great experience! I made a lot of wonderful friends that I hope to see again in the future, and I am sad to leave. The management could be better about tolerating mistakes from volunteers, but they do provide events every once in a while and are typically kind otherwise. The hours and days off were exactly as stated, and the work is not too hard. Overall, I would recommend if you would like to visit Osaka and the surrounding areas.

I stayed for 2 months. The accommodation is pretty dirty and the management distant but the volunteer team was lovely. We had so much fun and I made so many good friends. However, one day, out of the blue, the owner and manager kicked me out for a minor mistake. I only had 3 hours to find someplace to sleep. Everything was done through messages, they didn't even talk to me or listened to what I had to say. Many people I had met told me it happened to previous volunteers too, and the owner would threaten to fire us after every minor mistake. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place.

The position of the hostel is convenient (just next to Teradacho station, well connected and in an area full of restaurants); the job wasn't difficult and it's only 3 hours per day during the morning (from 10am to 1pm), so it's possible to have a lot of spare time to visit the city and doing other activities. It was definetely a good experience to socialize with guests, especially during the weekends. My overall experience was good, so I would reccomend this hostel if you want to have the opportunity to discover more about Osaka and have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

I was really lucky to have good workmates who also played, cooked, and ate together. It was really fun with semi-regular dinner parties and karaoke nights. The location is also good for going to central Osaka to meet locals, and the reception staff and manager are also very welcoming of practicing Japanese. The work itself is simple, but make sure to pay attention to the details. Most days it's possible to finish early depending on how many people are working. The bunk room is small so if you have a lot of luggage it can be difficult to store.

Great place to volunteer that I would definitely recommend. Staff are great people who are easy to get along with, jobs are super simple and don't take long to complete which leaves plenty of time to explore Osaka.

Had a lovely time at the guest house! All the staff are so nice and welcoming, as well as other volunteers. Group meals were provided by the hosts which was a great way to experience Japanese cuisine and get to know everyone better. The job can be a bit repetitive but everything else makes up for it.

My experience working at the guest house was very good, especially considering the staff. I was working daily with great people. The work was easy, but sometimes few people had to do much, which made things complicated. The owner and manager still need to organize things better and explain the rules clearly to the volunteers.Sometimes things could have been resolved more respectfully and simply than they were. We had very good parties thrown by the owner and with the help of the manager and staff. I'm grateful for the experience and I hope that the place becomes even better for everyone living there.
