I'll start by saying that it's the volunteers that make this experience incredible. You live together, eat meals together and work together and very quickly, you become a family. The hostel is very social and the guests that come to stay are almost always fun and friendly which makes the shifts a lot more enjoyable. Some downsides are that the accommodation is cramped and you only receive one free meal per day, which the guests also receive. Be prepared for a lot of work but living in Barcelona for 5 weeks made it worth it for me. Wouldn't trade the experience for the world.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I enjoyed my time at the hostel. The work was as described, and the location of the hostel is perfect. The common areas are great for meeting other travellers as well. However, the staff dorm is very small with no air conditioning, and there is not two free meals as it says on the listing. There is free dinner, but every guest recieves it, and it is cooked by the volunteers as a work shift. At times it felt like the volunteers were treated more like employees. The other volunteers were amazing, which made the experience much better though

The experience at blackswan was truly great and what made it special was the volunteering and reception team who was full of amazing human beings. The biggest downside for me was the fact that we only got free dinner (which is free for the whole hostel) . Considering the place highly relies on volunteers, I feel like we could have gotten a bit more in return. But overall it is really worth it and you'll love this beautiful city Barcelona.

Voluntariar no Black Swan foi um presente do destino, o hostel me escolher para 1 mês eu acabei ficando 3 meses e acabou se tornando minha casa por este período. Desde o primeiro momento todos foram muito amigáveis, as tarefas são tranquilas e edificantes. Lucas, o gerente é bem comunicativo e uma pessoa que está sempre pronta para ajudar. Também quero agradecer os funcionários: Oriana, Borja, Lucão, Wendy, Sebastian, Agostin e outros que compartilhei bons momentos. O Staff de voluntários também foram incríveis, uma família <3 Recomendo para todos a experiência, viver em Barcelona foi um sonho

Pase dos meses geniales! Recomiendo mucho este hostel, las instalaciones son buenas, genial para practicar ingles, es perfecto si te gusta salir de fiesta, la ubicación es muuy buena y tenes comida todos los días. Si necesitas algún día libre o horario podes hablarlo tranquilamente y te lo respetan. El cuarto de voluntarios es chico pero normal de hostel. Gracias por todo🥰🥰

Segunda vez voluntariando no Black Swan, e novamente pude me conectar com pessoas incríveis que levarei para a vida. O hostel tem uma localização incrível que facilita muito para conhecer a cidade. Muito obrigado por mais esta linda experiência 🫶🏻
