The Experience
We have a small goat farm in Central Kentucky, United States. We raise Kiko meat goats and are expecting between 15-25 kids for the 2023-2024 kidding season. We also have a horse, two dogs, and two cats. We are centrally located in the United States. Major cities like Louisville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati are all within a couple hours drive. Chicago and Atlanta are 6-8 hours away for the weekend.

This has been my first experience with Worldpackers and I am very happy to have met this spectacular family. They really make you feel at home from day 1. I have received even more than what was promised in the App. Walter and Carolina are a lovely couple. Elena is a beautiful and intelligent girl. I leave having learned everything about the goats and their care, and I love the two dogs and the two cats. I want to have more journeys, but I am sad to leave them. I am going to miss the morning coffee. I recommend this place without a doubt 200% and look forward to returning one day.

My stay here was one too remember! It was my first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't have asked for a better way to ease into volunteering. Walter and Carolina are so sweet and make you feel welcomed. The work is only an hour in the morning and a couple hours in the evening. Sometimes you might run an errand during the day but you have the rest of the time to explore. They will do their best make sure you get to see and do everything you would like.

The family was absolutely amazing and had great hospitality. They welcomed me and made me feel at home. The goats were super fun to hangout with and learn about. It was a great experience and I'd recommend them to anybody looking to see some nature and animals. Kentucky also has plenty of things to do and they made sure I could do as many of them as possible :)

They are a lovely, kind family. Welcoming and open. They have a small herd of goats and a horse that yoy help taking care off they also have some small projects with painting etc but theyre very relaxed and inclusive family that want to make it an enjoyable experience. Would definately recommend!
