I had such a wonderful time here! I will never forget the experience I had. This would be a great opportunity to meet other international travelers and locals. The people here are incredibly kind and they will feel like family.

Because of a road incident I unfortunately couldn't join the team and volunteer at the lodge this time, but Miguel was always very understanding. I hope I can join the team in the near future! Gracias Miguel

This place has the potential to be a great volunteering experience! I arrived at the lodge last minute and so I believe that my experience differs from the regular volunteering experience. I appreciate the fact that they welcomed me in such short notice and I had a great time here. Yet, I spent 7 days and 9 nights (arrived at 23h the day before my first shift at 9AM) from which I was scheduled to volunteer 6 of them and make family meal on my "day off". Still, I feel as if I had plenty of time to explore the town and the desert. I would recommend.

Volunteering at the lodge brought valuable connections and learnings. However, the tasks differed from the bioconstruction support listed in the vacancy; instead, I was assigned night shifts (19:00-23:00 or midnight-8:00). I mentioned this, but no adjustments were made. The schedule affected my sleep, and I fell ill, likely due to the dry, dusty environment of the village. Missing some shifts due to illness, I then had to make them up the following week. Overall, I appreciated the experience but found the tasks and schedule challenging.

Foi uma experiência incrível. As pessoas são simpáticas e se preocupam em te fazer sentir pertencente. O hostel tem parceria com agência de passeio, o que é ótimo e te faz pagar mais barato, isso me ajudou muito. Tem pessoas de toda a parte do mundo e toda noite tem atividades que fazem as pessoas socializarem, então se está viajando sozinho é ótimo que no fim você não fica mesmo sozinho. Amei, muito obrigada pela oportunidade 🙏🏼

Minha experiência na the lodge foi linda. O trabalho é muito tranquilo, limpeza, recolher lixo, fazer café e estar na recepção para abrir a porta para hóspedes. Das 8h é possível fazer tudo em umas 3h e depois já está tranquilo e pode fazer coisas pessoais (desde que esteja atento a campainha). O hostel é lindo, a localização é ótima e são pedro é mágico. Tem bastante gente no staff fixo o que é bem legal e são até 4 voluntários. Me trataram muito bem e sou muito grata pelas minhas semanas aí. Espero voltar um dia :)

Tuve una experiencia re linda en este lugar!! El hostel es increíble, esta cerca de la calle principal, siempre está lleno de viajantes, hice muchos amigos acá, y los espacios de descanso son copados. El trabajo es más para limpieza y organización de áreas comunes, normalmente en horario nocturno, bien tranquilo! Super recomendó y me quedaría más tiempo si pudiera!! Gracias the lodge por la recepción y la acogida, me encantó mucho 💖

Depois de 3 semanas, no ÚLTIMO dia, DEPOIS de eu terminar o meu turno, Hernán chegou no hostel e começou a criticar exatamente TUDO que eu tinha feito. Começou a cobrar coisas que NINGUÉM, em momento ALGUM, jamais havia me passado para fazer. Se comportando como uma criança teimosa, não me ouvia e dizia que eu deveria ter PRESUMIDO o que deveria ser feito, da maneira que ele queria. Se você quer vir para voluntariar sem se importar em ser tratado como um merda, venha! Agora se tem amor próprio e não tem paciência para lidar com uma pessoa com distúrbio de bipolaridade, não recomendo.
