The Experience

We are Columbus' original (and only) hostel. We offer a few private rooms and a few dorms to travelling guests. We understand that people don’t just choose to stay in hostels just because they are inexpensive. Hostel travelers know that good hostels are places where they will get to meet other travelers and have a memorable social experience. This is our focus at the Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel.

I honestly have nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. the hostel is great, the host is great, the city is beautiful, there are many things to do. The activities were super quiet and you are well instructed to be able to do them. The environment is safe, and I could feel very free. I'm Brazilian and I practiced English, it was perfect. I would come back a thousand times

Highly recommend everyone who is considering volunteering here! I really enjoyed my time at The Wayfairing the hostel! Location is awesome (walking distance to bus stops, groceries stores, restaurants and other interesting places), the place itself is cozy, daily tasks are easy to learn and doesn't take much time to be accomplished. Robbie is a wonderful host, super easy going, friendly and helpful. My travel experience in Columbus was definitely enhanced by my time as a volunteer here!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was everything I could have hoped for. Robbie was exceptional and truly welcoming right from the moment he picked me up from the airport and helping me get settled in and providing recommendations on things to do around. The tasks just take up a couple of hours each day leaving more than enough time to explore what Columbus has to offer. Overall, a fantastic experience.
