Una, Aga and the whole team at the hostel were wonderful to spend time with. I really appreciated learning the story of how they began the hostel and they gave us some great reccomendations for food and places to see. The hostel is very thoughtfully designed and a nice place to hang out. The hostel is very well maintained, which meant that the cleaning tasks were quite pleasant to carry out. I had the privellege of staying at the hostel during their festival which was a great way to learn more about Taiwanese and aboriginal culture ☺️ I would reccomended this place to anyone visiting Taiwan.

Volunteering at the hostel was a soul-nourishing and rare experience. From the start, UnaAga and the team welcomed me with such warmth—it felt like joining a family. The tasks were easy and well-paced, and the hostel itself is clean, beautifully designed, and wonderfully chill. Hualien is a place of quiet healing, where mountains and sea invite you to slow down and reconnect. If you're looking to contribute, connect, and grow, the hostel is a truly special place. I wholeheartedly recommend the hostel!

Una made me feel very comfortable throughout my entire stay,everything we discussed prio to my arrival was respected.Most days duties took around 2 hours and mostly cleaning bathrooms and hallways and making beds.She also took us on a awesome bike tour and one night we went out to a local bar w other staff and volunteers.Great low key town to get to know for a few weeks

I had an amazing time in the hostel. Una is seriously interested in you as a person and your culture. The environment is very social, everyone is super nice and interested to bring you closer to Taiwanese culture. The work is exactly what is agreed on or sometimes less when there is not too much to do. I definitely recommend it to everyone! Big thanks to the whole the hostel Team <3

Leaving the hostel felt like leaving a warm home and that says a lot already. Every one is so welcoming and makes you feel like you are part of the family. The work is easy and mostly finished earlier than 1.30 pm, which leaves enough time to explore Hualien or have a chill afternoon in the very cute hostel-coffeeshop (with the best banana bread ever!). It was nice that I could choose my days off. And besides working together, the WorldInn family also shared a lot of fun activities with me, like going out for delicious dinners, interesting presentations, road trips and even karaoke hehe! 謝謝大家<3

I had the most wonderful time at the hostel and would highly recommend the experience to anyone. the hostel team was so kind and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my time in Hualian. I really felt like a local and learned a bit of Chinese while I was there. The hostel is incredibly clean and the living spaces are very comfortable and inviting. The work itself is very easy and consists of cleaning the hostel, folding sheets and bedding, and making beds. Never more than three hours of a work a day. Do yourself the biggest favor and go to WorldInn :)

I had the most amazing time one could wish for at the hostel! The team is amazing and made me feel right at home in their hostel. I learned much about local culture and got to meet many amazing people. If you want to get immersed in local culture, this is the right place to do it. Thanks for everything, the hostel!
