I had a fantastic time volunteering at the hostel. From the get-go, Adriana was incredibly warm and welcoming and continued to be an excellent, understanding, and helpful volunteer manager and mentor for the entire duration of my stay. Working in the hostel was really fun, and the tasks were exactly as described on the application. Milan was also incredible to work with and the reception environment was one of care and respect. One note I would add is that the work can be physically demanding in the heat, it involves walking between buildings in the hostel sometimes carrying bags.

I had a great time! The stay is inside the hostel so it's clean with great location inside the hostel, requests and preferences are taken into consideration for schedule. Milan, Adri and Anna are very welcoming, kind and helpful. What you should know: the activities include carrying bags (8 to 10 kg aprox each of them) with linen from 4 buildings to the main building all inside the city, folding linen, taking garbage out, look after the showers and bathroom cleanliness and take guest to activities, during my stay were some night shifts too. I was okay with it so I extended my stay :)

The contact with Matea was cero, i actually never met Matea in person or heard from her during all my stay. People around the hostel were super nice and made my experience fun. The working hours were flexible and respected, tasks were simple, although i had agreed to some tasks beforehand and they changed me to activities without asking and when i was already there. I felt like the host didn't care about me or how my experience was because she never contacted me. Also, the building where i was staying had the tap and toilet broken the whole time and nobody fixed it, even when asked to

It was such a great experience. Everyone working and volunteering was so nice and great to meet new people, very social job. A bit more of a heads up could be given on the schedule, to plan the days off. Overall great experience!

I had a blast in Dubrovnik! Very nice environment to meet other travelers and make plans with them, made a lot of friends among the guests. I would improve the room manage for volunteers

I had so much fun in Dubrovnik! The city is beautiful and everyone who works and stays at the hostel is so nice and welcoming. It was a really great way to meet so many people from across the world and make a ton of friends! It was definitely a decent amount of work and if you want time off, ask far in advance to have 2 days off in a row. The schedule doesn't come out in advance so it makes planning difficult. I would definitely do this again and volunteer here again. It was also a great place to work on your English if you aren't fluent. The activities that you lead are also super fun!!

Overall, my experience was very good. The number of working hours was respected, and the tasks during the night shift were simple (washing, hanging, and folding clothes and sheets, performing check-ins, taking out the trash, and transporting sheets between buildings). However, my accommodation experience was not comfortable. Unlike other volunteers, I was assigned to sleep in a school with cots outside of the hostel, and each commute was an average of 40 minutes.

I had a great time at the hostel and I met a lot of cool people. The staff that work here are genuinely fantastic and so welcoming. It was a great first experience to have working in a hostel, I had so much fun with a lot of the guests as well. I loved my time in Dubrovnik and i'll definitely be back to say hello

The experience was not was I expected and felt more like a job rather than an experience to meet people or culture. The tasks weren't the same as what they published or was told in the interview, where it was understood that the tasks would be easy, and there would be a lot of interacting with guest in activities, it wasn't like that. In my opinion is not worth working 6 hr a day (30 per week) just for one bed when the work is hard, and harder when is high season. The team was very nice, Adriana does the best for making a good environment for volunteers.

I had a good time in Dubrovnik, but there were definitely a few things that have to be improved for it to be a great experience! For the hours you have to work and the difficulty of the tasks, I think what you get in return is not enough. Also I had the feeling that the host did not appreciate the volunteers enough and doesn't recognize how important they are for his hostel. But thanks to the really amazing and lovely staff members I enjoyed my time nevertheless!! Thank you Adry for always trying your best to make us feel comfortable and appreciated!! :))
