Helping tidy and organise our family home

The experience

We have been so busy with everything on the farm our house has become really disorganized, you can't find anything and there's lots of clutter.

If you like tidying an organising, this is for you.
May suit females better but we are open to anyone.

It will also be cleaning out the back of drawers and giving everything a spring clean

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Between 20 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We will provide you with whatever food you would like for breakfast - Tea, Coffee, bread, cereal, eggs etc. to eat when ever suits you. Lunch, similar, sometimes we will prepare and all have lunch together.. Evening meal – work days, we will prepare something nice for all of us. We ask that you sharing or take turns cooking evening meals, we would love to try something from your country. Rest days we normally ask that you do your own thing, any food you would like provided (sausages, veg, pasta etc)
We offen have BBQs by the river if the weather is nice.

Activities & Shift

The farm is in a beautiful spot with rolling countryside, you can see Dartmoor on a clear day, we have woods and meadows and the fields go down to the river Torridge
We moved here 11 years ago and are slowly turning the place into a smallholding and wild garden.
This involves; restoring the fields to native meadow, planting trees, flowers & creating artwork around the place.
We have a big veg garden & polytunnel, 9 chickens, 16 ducks and 2 dogs, we have pigs in the summer,

Rules

You will stay in a large family-size tent you can stand in inside. Full-size double bed (not a camping bed) .
There is a small kitchen in the tent. you have access the toilet near the tent, shower in the main house. There is Wifi.
