The experience

Im from Pagaruyung, West Sumatra, Indonesia
Im in process making river camp for travelers.

In my village, traditional culture and activities are still well preserved.
I am an English teacher and I'm teaching traditional art and culture here. My goal as a principal and an educator is to help the children & community in my region, creating an English-practicing environment to help them communicate everywhere.

What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 7 Per day

Description: To cover meals, transportation and free entry to attractions

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent Indonesian or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 54 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Im in the process of making river camp and eco lodge for travellers.

Besides that, I would to like to welcome any travellers to come and help me teach english to local people, while having a chance to experience immersion in local culture and activities

All the local people are very welcoming and curious about foreigners and i am sure that you will have a unforgettable experience while interacting with them.
