While my partner is in the UK until March, I need help in our spacious village home with painting, reorganizing, and light childcare for my 4-year-old in the evenings as I teach online. Program Details

Join our warm family of four in a charming village in the Italian Alps, just 10 minutes from the Swiss border! We are here with our two kids and could use a helping hand. We’re looking for someone to assist with light renovation tasks like painting and reorganising, as well as occasional childcare for our 4-year while I teach online and help with the general housework (wash dishes, swiping the floors and laundry help) . Our spacious home in Val d’Ossola offers stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere, and a welcoming sense of community. We can’t wait to share this special place with you! :)

Activities & Shift

Our village is located just 10 minutes by car from Domodossola, the main town in the area, which is full of charm and things to do. Domodossola has a beautiful historic center with cobbled streets, quaint shops, and lovely cafes. It’s also a gateway to many incredible places.

From our village, there are limited buses to Domodossola, but I drive there twice a day to take and pick up the kids from school, so you’ll always have a way to get into town. Once in Domodossola, you can easily reach:
• The Valle Vigezzo (also known as the “Valley of Painters”): Accessible by the scenic Vigezzina-Centovalli train, this valley offers stunning landscapes, picturesque villages like Santa Maria Maggiore, and plenty of hiking opportunities.
• Lake Maggiore: A short train or drive away, you can explore beautiful lakeside towns like Stresa, Verbania, or the famous Borromean Islands.
• The Simplon Pass: Reachable by bus or car, this alpine route takes you into Switzerland with breathtaking views.
• The Ossola Valleys: Perfect for hiking, skiing, and discovering charming mountain villages.

On Sundays, we can sometimes drive to nearby attractions together, giving you the chance to see more of this beautiful region. Whether you enjoy nature, history, or exploring new cultures, this area has something for everyone!
