Working hours are 25 hours worked spread over 5 days (some days more or others less), with 2 weekend days spend away from the project (no meals on off days) in the nearby towns or visiting nearby islands.
Work starts after breakfast and finish at around 13h00 to have lunch. Afternoons can be spent preparing your meals, or on the nearby beach or just relaxing somewhere on the project.
Current projects include -
planting and maintaining fruit and forest trees, upgrading and maintenance of existing infrastructure, installing a sewage treatment plant, and upgrading the water distribution system.
We are doing physical work and had volunteers up to 72 years old that could cope with the tasks on hand. We adapt tasks to suit the limits the individuals put on their own abilities.
The owners are 63 years old and can do the tasks we give our volunteers.
