Coming back to the guest house felt like returning home. Once again, I had the chance to learn so much – about Korean culture, about people, and about myself. I'm leaving with countless warm memories and am so grateful for this experience. The host is truly amazing and creates a space that's both welcoming and full of life. Living together with guests in the dorm means you're always surrounded by interesting people and spontaneous conversations. I can only recommend this place to anyone who's curious and wants to dive deeper into Korean culture.

Huge thank you to Heeo and our volunteer team for such an incredible experience! Andong wouldn't have been the same without you all 🥹 The work is straightforward, with plenty of free time to explore the surrounding area. I joined just before the Annual Mask Festival (so fun) and Chuseok, so it was pretty busy. That said, everyone bands together and helps each other out which makes everything much easier! Heeo is really generous and an absolute wealth of knowledge on Andong and Korean culture, and the guesthouse has such a homey and comfortable vibe. So many good memories; 100% recommended!!!

The team is incredibly friendly we had an absolutely great time. Alba with a very nice woman who really showed us the ins and outs of the hostel and I have learned a lot of valuable experience from her instructions. Heeo is an incredibly friendly person and he is so humble and generous he is the owner of the hostel and he made us feel like family from the first day :).

Heeo is amazing and my experience here was great. The workload is quite light. Heeo is a great host and makes sure you are accounted for, he will take you around the city and show you a good time. Very kind, friendly, easy-going and welcoming person!

The work itself is easy, and Heeo is super friendly and nice - the best boss you could have! He brought us to several cool locations in the surrounding area (the great stone Budha at Andong Icheondong Seokbulsang, Wolyeonggyo Bridge, wearing traditional Hanbok), took us out to dinner to try local specialties, and bought us groceries. He really wants to make sure you have a great experience too, not just the guests. This is a great option for digital nomads looking for a quiet place to relax and get their own work done too.

I had such an amazing time here. Andong is a small city but you can totally get immersed in the local culture by your own. Task in the guest house are simple as you will live there just try to make everything clean for you and the other people, that gives more hospitality vibes. Heeo is a great man, always willing to help, and support the volunteers, thank you so much for everything. 🙏🏼

I'm very thankful to be part of the small the guest house family. Since the first day, I felt welcome and supported. I fell in love with Andong because it is a calm city with kind people, delicious food and drinks, and I had great moments with the other volunteers, with Heeo, and with the guests at the guesthouse. It was a warm and friendly place that I will never forget. I will definitely come back.

I had an amazing experience at the guest house! We had such a good time cooking together, eating, discovering local places, doing night tours and visiting historical sites. Heeo is really knowledgeable and I learned a lot from him :) The team was lovely as well and we're actually planning to see each other again soon! Definitely recommend!

First of all, a big thank you to Heeo for this unforgettable experience – I had the best time at the guest house! The work isn't too demanding, and what I really enjoyed was the variety: not just cleaning, but also check-ins and the chance to get more involved if you want. Heeo really values your input. We also went on some great trips and often cooked together – a fun way to experience Korean culture. Volunteers stay in the dorms with guests, which creates a very social atmosphere. Lots of spontaneous evenings on the terrace – though it can feel a bit much at times, if you need more space.

Heeo was the best host in town ♥️ He knows SKorea and Andong by heart, always curious about travelling and sharing tips (he is a real backpacker too!) and above all : sharing his love for Andong. Thanks for your caring heart, even though you are a busy « businessman », you always made time for us and made this guesthouse feel like home. I learned so much at the guest house! (Big hugs to Alba too, without her my experience there would have been way less fun) Prepare to fall in love with Andong (and also for being non stop with people, guests or staff, which can sometimes feel heavy)
