Birgit and her son were very welcoming and kind, and for me this was an ideal experience for immersing myself in French culture and learning the language. Birgit always made sure that I was comfortable, and was very flexible with work hours. I would definitely recommend!

Birgit is so kind and welcoming :) she is Always smiling and asking you how are you feeling. The town is small but has a lot of tourists and really good bakerys, the work with her is interesting and if you are into fashion, this is the olace for you, she works in two different products and she let's you work on both, she is also a great teacher and great cook! :) If you want something peaceful and enjoyable, this is the place for you! Birgit is a very sweet and welcoming person. My days were truly lovely. The city, although small, is charming and has very peaceful atmosphere. The house is very confortable: my room was super spacious, the kitchen was beautiful, and the neighborhood was very quiet, all of which made my stay even more pleasant. As for the work, it was relaxed and varied. Birgit offers different tasks, such as helping with the website, working at the shop, or doing improvements around the house. She's very flexible and open to adjusting the tasks based on what you enjoy doing. A great spot to visit. ✨

Hi! It was such a nice travel, Birgit was allways willing to answer all my quedtions about french language and tookme to visit beautiful places near Nyons. The woking hours were some bricolage, and making art with felt. You have a entire big kitchen for cook, a bike, and a room for you during the week and to share with Swan (Birgit son, that is pretty nice). I recomend it if you are interested in lesrning french and if you are lloking for a peacefull time in a quiet place. Meeting the other volunteer was amazing, I was very lucky to meet Eva, such a lovely person.

Nyons is such a nice village; there's hiking, huge markets, river jumping, pools and culture everywhere. The host is lovely and speaks multiple languages (French, English, German, some Spanish/ Portuguese) and she is very flexible with the work. She is very open to accommodating free time for you. One day she even drove another volunteer and I part of the way to Avignon (A palace city I recommend visiting). You probably will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor. The work is helping to make decorations out of local wool. It is relaxing and easy to learn: no artistic experience required.

I really enjoyed the experience, the city is amazing and the people are super welcoming. The location is perfect, close to pretty much all the Drôme sights in Nyons. Hostess Birgit and her son Swan were really nice to me, I felt really comfortable during my stay. Birgit was very attentive to teaching, as well as showing a great desire to learn more about the culture of Brazil. They were unique moments, I certainly learned a lot on this trip, thank you! 🇧🇷❤️🇫🇷

Eu tinha ótimas expectativas de fazer voluntariado aqui em Nyons com Birgit pois conectar-se com pessoas que estão envolvidas com arte sempre é uma troca com extremo valor mas todas as expectativas foram superadas, Birgit tem uma experiência de vida incrível e Nyons é um lugar incrível e está próximo de lugares ainda mais especiais, obrigado por toda troca e espero ter ajudado assim como fui muito bem recompensado.

Son buenas personas; Birgit es agradable y simpática y su hijo también. Compartí con otra voluntaria, Denise. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, las tareas no eran claras, lo que dificultaba aportar sin sentir que abusábamos de la hospitalidad. Surgieron situaciones incómodas, incluyendo discusiones con el hijo de Birgit. Denise mencionó que Birgit tenía problemas con el alcohol, lo que hacía la situación incómoda, aunque no violenta. Luego, llegó otro voluntario y compartimos la habitación, pero la incomodidad aumentó cuando Denise y el hijo de Birgit empezaron a dormir juntos sin mucho filtro.

Nyons est un village magnifique et j'ai aimé vraiment beaucoup l'experience de travail avec Birgit! On a fait du feutre et on a travaillé avec le réseaux sociaux de son activité, et Birgit m'a aussi enseigné à faire les impressions végétales sur les tissus et m'a raconté son expérience dans le monde de la mode! J'ai eu aussi a chance de visiter Avignon et Orange, 2 villes assez proches du village. Une magnifique expérience, merci Birgit pour tout!

A experiência na casa foi muito boa de forma geral. Eu estava em um momento complicado e foi esse voluntariado que me ajudou a seguir adiante. Aprendi sobre o processo de fabricação de artesanato com lã e seda, conheci o estilo de vida das pessoas de Nyons, fui bem acolhido. A cidade é pequena então é possível conhecê-la rapidamente, mas também fomos para algumas cidades em redor anexar cartazes para o evento de artesanato. Por outro lado, reparei que em muitos momentos havia um certo distanciamento e falta de comunicação por parte da anfitriã. De forma geral, a experiência foi boa.
