Receptionist and Housekeeper in surf town at ITH Hostels Sayulita

I worked as a volunteer for a month. Throughout my time, Mariana and Sean were great mentors and friends with whom I connected deeply. The shifts aren't particularly long or intense so that meant that in my free time I had the energy to explore the surroundings and have a balanced life. Thanks to the whole team and all the travellers I met along the way who helped me make this place home :)

I'm so happy I chose to work at the hostel. Mariana, Sean, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The work is fair, simple, and rewarding—especially interacting with guests. Accommodation, breakfast, and surfboards are provided for 25 hours of weekly work (24 in housekeeping/reception, 1 as an activity). I practiced Spanish daily and felt part of a family. The hostel is social but not a party spot—fun yet respectful. Mariana is an the hostel manager, balancing chill vibes with professionalism. I wish I could stay longer and hope to return next season. Huge thanks to the hostel team—I'll miss you all!

Very good experience:) Task were nice, and enough free time to get to see the town and surrounding area. You meet a lot of people from all over, and there's always something to do. Only downsides are they can have strong reactions (in my opinion) to things that are really just misunderstandings, and I hade to work while having food poisoning.

My stay at the hostel has been the hostel! Right when I got here, I felt like I was at home <3 I liked it so much that I wanted to stay longer. The work has been easy and just relaxed vibes here! And the most important: I've been surrounded by beautiful people <3

Best hostel job I've had, Sean has created a safe welcoming work environment. Even when us volunteers are not on shift, if we see our coworkers struggling we will come to the rescue! Everyone was so flexible and understanding, you learn quick and make friends even faster!

The hostel was the hostel! The schedules were fair, and the work expectations were clear. We had access to all the hostel amenities and resources (surfboards, boogie boards, climbing wall, etc.) and had enough free-time to explore Sayulita and the surrounding beaches. The team was great, very welcoming, and I left Sayulita having found a little family ❤️

I enjoyed my time volunteering at this hostel, the shift are 6 or 4 hours and you have work to do basically the whole time so is not super chill like other volunteer jobs I have done before. The tasks are pretty easy and the manager stays with you for your first week of shift but you are never really alone which I enjoyed. The working hours were respected and i like the fact that I'm your free time you can exchange hostel for free and stay in puerto Vallarta. I also like that you can choose your own activities!
