Everything was perfect! The staff and colleagues were VERY friendly. Agreements were respected, except for dinner, which wasn't always. If you know the basics of German, it will help you a lot when working at the bar. I highly recommend the hostel expirience Thank you all 🫶

A great experience with lovely people. The work is reasonable and the hostel is clean and centrally located; it's a great place to stay while exploring Leipzig. By far, the best part of this experience is the staff. I had a lot of fun working with the dynamic, friendly team here, many of whom I still hang out with.

I really reccomend staying at the ayo hostel. Everybody was really welcoming. Particularly Noah and Amy, the worldpackers hosts, but also all the staff. I had a really nice group of other volunteers so that also helps at having a good experience for sure. They really make sure you make the work hours that you had arranged before. The tasks are relaxed and you are changing in different shifts around the hostel so you don't really get to got tired of any of those. The best part, the breakfast is awesome. And as other reviews says, there is not dinner everyday, but when there is, is tasty too 😊

My experience was incredible, everything agreed upon was fulfilled. The room is very comfortable, they give me everything I need, you get breakfast and many benefits in return, without a doubt I would come back, I made incredible friends, even with the workers!! Thank you for always helping and being kind.

My experience here was great! I have met excellent people, both volunteers and workers, that I will keep in my heart <3 and the place was gigantic! The working hours were as agreed before, the place was clean and big and the breakfast and dinner always amazing. My favourite thing was to use the volunteer's bike in my free time to explore the city, which is beautiful. And everyone was very nice, I've felt very welcomed :) Would definately recommend this experience to other travelers. Thank you the hostel hope to come back soon :)

It was one of my best experiences yet, the work schedules were always respected, you get your shift in advance for the upcoming week as well as agreements for the days off can be made easily with Amy. The work environment is pretty good, the bar work is always funny specially if it is a busy day. Carlos and Tanja make the experience better as you can count with them for anything you need as well as all the staff team who is always willing to explain you things, teach you and share.

I recommend 100% being a worldpacker at the hostel in Leipzig :) The tasks correspond with the ones stated and the hours too, which gave me more than enough time to explore the city and places around and also get to know the other worldpackers and workers. I enjoyed it so much and if I had had no plan afterwards, I would have extended my stay!

It was my first volunteering and it couldn't be better. The work is easy, and the staff of the hostel is very nice. The breakfast is complete and the most of the days we have had dinner, but it's something which is only available when there are big groups in the hostel. The location is also another advantage because it's just in front of the train and bus station. If I had the opportunity I would do this volunteering again. I truly recommend this volunteering.

At first, I didn't know what to expect from the experience, but I highly appreciate the hostel team for being so welcoming to worldpackers. The work is pretty straightforward and easy to execute - it involves daily and weekly tasks that range from cleaning to bartending and restocking vending machines. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, but as mentioned, dinner wasn't always guaranteed. My advice for upcoming volunteers is to learn at least the numbers in German (if you don't know any) and study the Barkarte when possible. Makes the job easier! The hostel's location is also a fancy bonus :)
