Meditative work at strawberry farm in gorgeous location

I had a great time at the farm. It was a great experience and I loved getting to meet the other volunteer. Everything was as described and work was very easy, only 4.5 hrs each morning. If you are a solo traveler I would recommend making sure that there will be another volunteer at the same time as you. The host is very kind, however did make some comments that made us a little uncomfortable. He usually only takes women - so keep that in mind while applying. We had a great experience with the location and we're always content with activities to do in the afternoons.

Not sure exactly what are the comments I made that made Elena feel uncomfortable, she never bothered replying several messages I sent her to try to understand and avoid such discomfort for the next volunteers. It looks to me like she just wants to make life difficult for me, another volunteers canceled last minute after talking to her, I don't know what Elena said but she felt so scared that felt unsafe to come and didn't show up, leaving me no time to replace her. After these last events I wouldnt recomend to host Elena

The time I spent at the farm was interesting. I feel like the tasks were what was stated and the hours were good (working in the mornings). The job is very repetitive so if you are after variety then I would recommend the job for a shorter stay. I find there's a lack of privacy due to shared room and no door. I did feel uncomfortable at times by comments made by the host which I think were inappropriate. I was glad to have another volunteer there with me that I could connect to. I would recommend coming with someone else you know and it's notable to add that he only takes females.

This is preposterous, you cant complain that the job is repetitive, you applied for a fruit picking job! what did you expect?
Also cant complain about lack of privacy, you accepted to stay in the room knowing all the details! (as clearly stated, with photos too, in the profile) And its ridiculous hearing a backpacker complaining to have to share the room.
Also in the profile its clearly written that i accept only females (would have you preferred to share the room with a male?) so why the need to state it in your review?Come on Heather you couldnt find anything more substantial to make me look bad in your review?
Why not just being honest and writing "when i arrived he came to pick me up at the bus stop and brought me some snacks thinking i was hungry after the bus journey" or "he was feeding us quality food cooking twice a day"? Or "when i left he gifted me blackberries for the journey"? Or "he came and picked us up to the nearest town once when we were too tired to walk back"? Or "he waited 45 minutes for us at the bust stop when we were late from a trip avoiding us to spend money on an expensive taxi ride"? These infos would be more interesting to other worldpackers than thats the job is repetitive and the room as no door, since i already specififed it in the profile, but you just want to be mean and unfair towards me for no reason
