The experience

Join COTFONE and empower communities in Uganda! As a volunteer, you'll promote sustainable change through teaching, sports, and community engagement. Expect tasks like teaching, coaching sports, and assisting in outreach programs. We seek enthusiastic volunteers with compassion,willingness to learn and English proficiency. What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Description: Volunteers contribute $5 per day to cover expenses for food and accommodation

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Activities & Shift

As a volunteer with COTFONE, your daily activities will be diverse and engaging. Teach English, math, and vocational skills to empower children and adults. Develop interactive lesson plans, provide personalized attention, and foster an inclusive learning environment. Engage in community outreach programs promoting health, sanitation, and environmental awareness such as sustainable agriculture. Support microfinance programs and vocational training workshops. Contribute to the sports program, coaching and organizing activities promoting teamwork and fitness. Immerse yourself in the local culture, build relationships, and learn from community members. Collaborate with volunteers and staff, attend meetings and workshops to enhance teaching and community development skills. Your commitment and enthusiasm will contribute to building a sustainable and empowered world.
