We need your help to strengthen our social media! In lake Atitlán

I had an excellent experience with Andrés, Kayla, and the other volunteer Elena. The lake nearby is beautiful, San Lucas Toliman itself is one of the least touristy towns on the lake which is lovely. Everyone there is very welcoming, really friendly. Felt very safe there despite having been warned about other parts of Guatemala compared to Costa Rica (where I'd been just before). Gladys and Myra, the two houseladies, both treated me so well and it was great to practice my Spanish with them. Would have stayed longer if my coffers were deep enough...

The guest house was truly an amazing place to start my solo traveling and volunteering journey! The house itself is gorgeous, cozy and inviting. The people make it even better! It is a great place to become part of a community from which you'll learn, grow and make once in a life time memories! Thank you for everything casa Q!

The guest house was the perfect choice for my first world packers experience- everyone made me feel so at home and I met so many incredible people during my stay there. Since a lot of of the staff and guests only speak Spanish, it's a great place to learn/practice the language. I also learned so much about the local culture and got to enjoy the incredible lake Atitlán, which I ended up staying at for 2 additional weeks because I loved it so much. Both the town and the house are definitely more of a cozy/peaceful vibe (rather than party) but can be high pace depending on the amount/type of guests.

It was a joy to have you as part of our team, Claire. Your contribution to the collective work was truly supportive. It's always a delight when someone with your skills and commitment also has a place in your heart for the furry members of the community! Thank you for the love shared with Ix and Qatzij. We look forward to your future visits and again, deep gratitude for all your help, andrés

I had a great time at the guest house! Keep in mind that San Lucas is a town where there are lots of hikes and places to swim but not very dynamic evening life. If you want a more chill experience and meet local people this is the place for you

I had the best time in the guest house!! The 2 weeks I've been there were very relaxing and helped me learn more about social media. Andrés is such a warm-hearted person and the whole team made me feel welcomed since the beginning! I also loved to go on walks with their dog the guest house and I enjoyed every meal we had together as a family :) In general I can really recommend this volunteering for everyone. Thank you for having me !

This was an amazing experience for me! I absolutely loved my time at the guest house and would recommend it in a heartbeat. I had a very comfortable stay, fed well, and the work wasn't overly difficult or demanding.. Andrés is great at working with each individual to give them the tasks that they're most comfortable with. He's very flexible with work hours and days off and works well with the volunteers.

It is a quiet place in a very local town which was great to experience. The work itself was a bit unclear and not communicated well in the beginning which made it hard. However, it did improve after asking for a clearer schedule. In the social media role you get the chance to be creative and come up with content ideas. I also did other tasks such as feeding the pets, helping with reception, cleaning the kitchen, and cooking dinner.

The guest house is located in a very small village so there's no much to do around, so is nice to save money. It's nice if you have another job, so you can do both in your days. To go to another places, you must take a boat or a bus, which is not far but you just have to wait for the time (they are not so punctual). Was nice for me because I had time for myself and Andres allowed me to teach yoga for the guests, as parte of one of my tasks.
