I had a great time in the lodge! If you want to be in contact with nature and also have a great time with great people this is you place. jim, Lily and Nathan are amazing bosses, always worried about you. The work is also very chill and you are going to have plenty of free time. I will miss this place!

This experience truly couldn't have gone better! The working hours are respected and it was such a fun and lighthearted environment. You will either stay in the staff cabin, a tent or a bunkie. They provide bug spray and bear spray. All 3 meals are covered but you can eat whenever you want. The nearest town is Golden which is 20 minutes driving. Public transportation isn't great so you either catch rides from the manager, owner, another volunteer if they have a car, or you hitch hike. Dinner is eaten altogether each night and 1 staff member is assigned to cook it. We all take turns. 10/10!

My experience in the lodge was one of the best experiences I've ever had! The place, the people, and the connection with nature were incredible. I want to come back! Also, it's a great place to get to know BC and Alberta's natural parks, be around wonderful people, practice new languages, and learn about different cultures. I take the best memories with me and will always be grateful for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful place.

It was the best volunteer place I ever had! Really nice and fun team! The housekeeping tasks were easy to learn and to manage. There are DVD's, games and a "wood gym"🤣 for some free time activities! Once a week each person is supposted to cook for the whole team (whatever you want!). Sometimes we cooked a traditional dish from the country where we are from (cultural exchange) The place is more than 20km out of the city Center of Golden (but still belongs to Golden). So you really need a car to visit the City. We created groups cause the time when I was there only 1 girl had a car.

If you are looking for fun adventures and an amazing time in the Rockies this is for you!!!🏔️✨My time at Mountan the lodge has been incredible. If I could, I would spent my whole summer here. Jim has a great system for volunteers and is really fun and took us to cool trips to see bears or drink a milkshake or the movies. The work is totally fair and the tasks are kind of fun if u do them with someone cool together. Cool people and awesome times!!❤️✨Big thanks to Karyne (the manager) who looked after us and a big thanks to Jim for everything :)

It was a very pleasant experience in all dimensions, emphasizing the care and appreciation for the volunteers, which is why it is highly recommended for anyone looking to immerse themselves dynamically in Canadian culture

A really special place to volunteer in Canada. We spent 3 weeks here and had the best time! The work is enjoyable but the highlight is definitely the people. Jim is a great guy and it's very interesting hearing his stories about his life in tourism and Karyne (the manager) couldn't have been more helpful. They treat you like family and we were truly sad to leave. The location is also perfect and there are so many amazing day trips you can take close by.

An absolutely incredible experience! the lodge is truley special, and volunteering there was so much fun! The promised hours are upheld and the work is enjoyable. The highlights are definitely the people and the incredible location. The other volunteers were amazing and Jim is a really fun guy to be around. We especially owe a massive thanks to Karyne (the manager) who helped us so much with the work as well as suggestions for places to visit in the surrounding areas (she even helped me get some new tires for my car haha)! We will hopefully get to return one day soon!

Landscapes and situations that will be memories to share. I recommend it. The work is relaxed, you have to clean and tidy rooms, but there are activities that you get to enjoy, such as collecting firewood, making food, feeding the campfire or painting some creative signage. Here I did my first rafting, visited a nearby river, spent nights at the campfire with people of various nationalities, visited waterfalls, lakes and national parks, and the town of Golden. Jim, the owner, is a friendly and helpful person. Every day you will hear guests say that the place is beautiful.
