Program Details
The program is to make live the auberge in a natural reserve in lac de Tanay.
It's important to notice that the place is in a remote area. Guests have to leave the car in the below car park and walk up the mountain to reach lac de Taney.
During the summer period, there are guests who want to escape from the hectic city lives and get fresh air.
The program is to be on site during the summer when we have bookings , receive the guests and prepare a breakfast. Guests in general stay for the night and then leave for hiking tours.
We would like to have a couple or even a family to stay in our place.
You have a vehicle (Quad) to your disposal to drive up the hill until the car park or if you need to buy breakfast ingredients.
Activities & Shift
During the summer months, we seek a person or a couple to independently look after the Auberge. All reservations are made online by guests. Volunteers will be responsible for managing the Auberge without direct supervision. We live 40 km away in Lausanne and will visit occasionally to bring food supplies or address major needs. Daily supervision or on-site assistance is not provided.
Volunteers must feel comfortable living, working, and making decisions on their own in a remote mountain environment.
• Check reservations on the online platform.
• Respond to customer inquiries.
• Prepare breakfast for guests.
• Prepare simple dishes for dinner (e.g., raclette).
• Clean rooms and maintain general cleanliness.
• Maintain the exterior (cutting plants, grass, etc.).
• Perform small repair work if needed.
• Post regular pictures and videos on social media.
• During low activity periods: decorate rooms, DIY projects.
Rules
We are looking mainly for couples or a family that is willing to stay at least 4 weeks in a row (!). (except if there is a vacancy for less time).
French speaking is a must.
Volunteers need to have a Swiss or EU passport.
