The experience

The Beach Guide is responsible for organizing and leading guests or volunteers on beach outings. Their main goal is to ensure everyone has a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience.

Leading the group to and from the beach, making sure everyone stays together and arrives safely.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Tour Guide: Organize and lead tours around the city.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 50 One time

Description: "We ask volunteers for a $50 deposit as a security measure. This deposit serves as a guarantee in case of early departure before the end of the agreed volunteer period or in the event of any damage caused to the hotel. If the volunteer completes their commitment as agreed and there are no issues, the full deposit will be returned at the end of the stay."

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 22 and 36 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

During your stay you will be in a Team Dorm, not with other guests, which helps you become closer with other volunteers, and feel more at home during your stay. You receive free lunch for every day of your stay with us, as well as discounts on tours and drinks with the hostel. You have free access to the washing machine and dryer during your stay.

It´s an incredible opportunity with a great work life balance. You are more than welcome to speak to your managers if you need to change your schedule to experience something on the island and around Cancun. Your time is valued and the managers understand that you are also here to experience Cancun.
The hostel is surrounded by supermarkets, restaurants, super close to the bus stop that is a quick ride from the beaches and clubs in the Hotel Zone, as well as being a short walk from the main ADO Bus Stop.

Activities & Shift


The Beach Guide is responsible for organizing and leading guests or volunteers on beach outings. Their main goal is to ensure everyone has a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience. Key tasks include:

Guiding the Group: Leading the group to and from the beach, making sure everyone stays together and arrives safely.

Providing Information: Sharing basic safety rules, beach etiquette, and any important information about the location.

Bringing Supplies: Making sure essential items are available for the trip, such as cooler, umbrella etc.

Assisting Participants: Helping guests with questions or needs during the outing, especially those unfamiliar with the area.

Ensuring Safety: Keeping an eye on the group to make sure everyone is safe and following guidelines.

Creating a Fun Atmosphere: Encouraging group interaction, organizing simple beach games or activities if desired, and helping create a friendly and relaxed environment.


Rules

$50 USD Deposit
Fluent Spanish speaker
Be on time to your scheduled activities
No smoking or drinking during activities
Don´t enter guests rooms
Additional guests aren´t allowed inside volunteer´s rooms
Don´t bring external guests to the hostel. If you want to bring somebody external ask for permission from the manager
Report any found and unclaimed items to Lost-And-Found (front desk)
Keep your room, bathrooms and hostel areas clean
Don´t bring drugs to your room or to the hostel
Take care of the hostel´s supplies and equipment
Always assist the guests and SMILE!
If you are late twice to your activities, you will lose one day off.
Bring external people to the hostel and you will pay the price for one night´s stay in a private room
Bring any drugs to the hostel, you´ll be asked to leave immediately
Leave before the date agreed, and pay for the rest of your stay at a 4 mixed dorm rate
