I had an amazing volunteering experience! It was not always easy because work in hospitality is challenging, but I learned a lot and had a lot of responsibility which I liked! This volunteering is for people who love to serve other people and help the project grow, who love to communicate, organize and manage! And also who love to learn how it is to host guests in a the guest house in Iceland! Thank you Zeno and Virna for making my stay very special 💚

The guest house in Iceland was my first volunteering experience and I'm very happy that I chose it and that they chose me. As for the work, it was nothing difficult or complicated for me, all I did was normal daily activities, but I also learned new things, like baking bread and different cakes. I met only good and kind people here, without whom my experience would not have been so rich. thank you for this opportunity.

I am very grateful for my stay at the guest house. I gained a lot of experience in how a small guesthouse works. The workload is almost full time but manageable. Stunning sunsets and northern lights just outside the house were a great reward. The house is in a perfect spot just outside the city. The accommodation is nice, there is a lot of food and all you may need in a house. I really recommend this work exchange if you want to learn new skills and explore this amazing country on your days off.

Overall a very good experience to discover Iceland. I improved my English and met travelers from other countries. You actually work 40 hours a week (8 hours a day), and the work is somewhat varied such as painting, electricity, plumbing, etc. Communication is another aspect to improve. If you want to discover Iceland it is a very good opportunity, but be prepared to work

I had such a nice stay at the guest house. It was my first esperience and I was very luck to meet such a welcoming team. I did housekeeping and gardening. It's a lot of work but I think it's fair for what Zeno offers. You have to consider that from Reykjavík you can't visit all Iceland but just the nearest attractions as the South coast. Also you have to like staying in a quiet place and in contant with nature ( the guest house it's 15 minutes away from Reykjavík with the bus and 30/40 minutes by walk).

Overall it was such a really good opportunity to visit Iceland. I came mainly for painting and repairing tasks at the 3 houses. Keep in mind to work 40 hours and eat well. It is also good for remote workers or digital nomads, they have an office to work in and a good internet connection.

In general, a nice experience in an incredible country, you feel like travelling with guests coming from all over the world and the location of the house is perfect to have both nature and city. I met really kind people, both guests and colleagues :) However, it's a lot a lot of work and due to the period (Christmas) there was no proper rhythm. Also, there is a lack of organization and communication which creates complicated situations because in Iceland you are just with the other intern on site.

Its was an amazing experience! I had a great time in Iceland🙌 the owner keeps his team close and communication is his key. I am very grateful for the trust he (and all the team) gave me, what I learned and what I contributed. I wish come back!!

I enjoyed my stay here in BlueHouse, the work required more times than usual but I don't think it was a too hard task, for what Zeno is offering is really fair. I m very grateful for the chance to be here and surely will recommend to stay here. The house is welcoming and well equipped, with nice quiet neighborhood.
