The Ultimate Summer Job: Be a Hostel Hero in Dubrovnik Hostel!

Romania

It was my first time volunteering at a hostel! I had a lot of fun, I loved the town, the free boat tour, cliff jumping, socializing with guests... The tasks were quite easy, most of the time I was done ahead of schedule and had plenty of free time. Alen confirmed my trip but then didn't respond to me until the day before my flight. However, he and his brother, they were welcoming upon my arrival. Despite the lack of organization and some overbooking problems, I really had a great time in Dubrovnik and I'm grateful to have had this experience and to have met the other volunteers!!! <3

Alen was welcoming at first which I appreciated! He's also very generous and flexible! It's busy so it gets very hectic. This opportunity does require you to be a self-starter and able to adapt to last minute tasks & changes. The schedule was inconsistent which allowed for a lot of time off, but then also resulted in working outside of agreed hours. It was very disorganized which was challenging, but I voiced my concerns & believe it will improve! The free tours were fun and locals are lovely! Dubrovnik is an easy place to love & I'm grateful to have had this opportunity(:
