The experience

Interact with our bilingual students allowing our students to practice their English. The interaction could take many different forms including teaching or talking about your favorite hobby like dancing, sports, art, yoga, photography, singing, reading, travel or whatever you enjoy doing. You could work with the age group you prefer from first grade through high school seniors. Work mornings, off afternoons and weekends. Extended stays welcomed.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

United States visa or citizenship

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

You would work from 7 AM until noon Monday through Friday helping students to participate in conversations using the English language. You would offer guidance in correct pronunciation and offer encouragement for reluctant students to try. Longer stays are welcomed.

Activities & Shift

Your daily activities could vary according to your choice. One day you might engage students in group reading of a book while another day you might engage students in a dance lesson or art lesson and another day engage the students in learning yoga. The activity is not as important as is providing opportunity to practice English.

Rules

Always be respectful of students regardless of their language abilities. You would always be accompanied by one of our teachers who would be responsible for discipline, etc. Your responsibility is to provide opportunity to practice speaking English.
