Alberta is know for its "western events", from May to October there are usually many local events, rodeo's, festivals that you could visit on the weekend. Banff and Jasper have world renown places to visits and in July there is a 10 day Calgary Stampede that is a terrific place to go have fun! Locally we have a few lakes that are great for people watching and some "cold water swimming". The Rocky Mountains are 60 miles west of us and they have lots of beautiful trails, views and vistas to make your heart sing.
