Calling early birds! Take care of cows on a Swedish farmstead

10/10 would recommend. Going to the farm was the best decision I made in my life. I stayed there for 3 months and not a single day I felt like wanting to leave early. I met so many amazing people, both volunteers and locals. I learn so much and had so many opportunities to improve as a person. The hardest part of the work was waking up really early some days. Working with the cows take some getting used to, but it's worth it at the end of the day. The contact with nature, the lakes, the sea, the sunset, the beautiful cities. Summer in Sweden was a paradise.

I really loved my stay at this place, all the people were really nice and Olov loved to show us around and take us to beautiful lakes and beaches. There was always good music, so if you like karaoke or dancing - I can guarantee that you will have loads of fun here. It's true that there's a lot of stuff in the house but it's possible to still live comfortably there plus we all had our own rooms. Working hours were respected and very flexible for people like me who worked in the garden :) Saying goodbye was hard and I wish I could've stayed longer.

My first time volunteering and it has been extraordinary. The work with the cows is easy and the workers are lovely. The common areas of the house are very nice and I loved how cozy my room was. We did a lot of planning and the other volunteers I met were amazing. I recommend this experience to everyone, it was perfect. Everything was easy and they are always looking to make you feel comfortable at all times 😍😍

I had a wonderful and pretty life-changing time at the farm. I mainly did carpentry like building plant supports, an area for crops, a house for wild bees, repairing a door, a box for crops, cows, DROVE THE TRACTOR! Highlights were Midsommar and an incredible folk music festival called Bingsjöstämman. In my free time I played the piano, canoed in the lake, drew outside, and enjoyed nature. An authentic farm experience for those who aren't afraid of getting dirty! Volunteers were great and we even threw a small kitchen party for my farewell which was so much fun. I made some great memories!

I was in Söderhamn for a month and it was an amazing time. The farm is basically in the middle of nowhere so you spent a lot of time in the nature. The work tasks are really flexible and if there is something you're not comfortable with there is always room to discuss. I met other amazing volunteers and would recommend that to everyone who wants to the farm cows

It was an amazing experience on the farm with Olov and the other volunteers. I felt like I was home. It was good work and fun work. I learned a lot about gardening and taking care of dairy cows. I feel so fortunate to have had this opportunity. A special place.

Olov's warm hospitality made his farm a welcoming home. I loved choosing tasks & learned from planning gardens to milking cows! We explored beyond the farm with church visit, scenic drive & hike. Olov's delicious, home-cooked dishes and decadent desserts were a delightful surprise. For future Worldpackers: The farm's charm is rustic, so you might find something needing a fix. Just mention it to Olov - he's open to suggestions and might even welcome the help! Overall, it was a truly unforgettable experience.
