The experience

Our social media needs a serious boost. That is what we would like you to do.

We are really helping a lot of people to create a better life for themselves but we're not very good at telling our story on social media. That's why we need your help.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Content Writer: Write, edit and publish inspiring content.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

3 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 20 and 55 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

United States visa or citizenship

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We operate a bilingual elementary and high school in rural Honduras. At our school, many students need scholarships to support their continued education. You would use your social media knowledge to help us have an effective social media presence and bolster our fundraising capabilities. You will work with students, teachers, and program operators to create and post regular content. Working with the students is a rewarding experience and a great opportunity to practice your Spanish.

A good background in marketing, copywriting or nonprofit development would be a big asset.

Activities & Shift

For the most part, you would set your own schedule during the day when other team members are available.

Because both of our campuses are schools, one for adults and the other for children, whose mission is to help people develop a better life, we want our volunteers to set a very good example with their life.
