Program Details
The Centre of Resilience is our growing community skills training centre in the heart of Bihar, where we're working to create sustainable forms of living for Biharis facing climate chaos and poverty.
Join us in our biggest project yet: the Floating House Project, designed to address flooding that has been displacing millions of people across Bihar.
Activities & Shift
We are a team driven by shared passion. We work hard, share meals together, and share visions for how to build the strength of communities around the world. We usually start work at 9am and go till 4pm or so, stopping as needed to enjoy the surroundings, eat a mango from the tree, feed the cows or take rest.
You'll be able to get involved in as much as you want: getting your hands into the earth and learning basics of natural building, as well as organic farming and more, if you're keen!
Check out: www.centreofresilience.org to see much more of how we work!
Prashant will be your guide and host, along with Sasha, his wife.
You'll be in good hands.
You can expect great traditional Bihari food, culture, connections with local people in Arrah, Bihar, a place VERY off the usual travel-trail. You can contribute to meals and bring your own ideas of how to make the work happen.
Rules
Be culturally sensitive: dress appropriately for the culture of Bihar.
Respect yourself -- take care of your needs -- and respect others and the place around you.
Enjoy!
