Gardening and Carpentry help with my off the grid farm project.


The experience



Help me in the garden like: plant new plants, take care of fruit trees, clean around with machete, pick unwanted plants,rake the leaves around the property, water the plants , harvest fruits if there are, create new paths around the garden and much more

Help in Construction tasks: woodworking , sanding, painting, cutting wood, help me with finishing work, building stone paths hauling sand from the river.
Taking care of my 15 native chickens.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 10 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: We accept your contribution of $10 A day per person. We are an off grid farm and have high maintenance costs. Such as road, solar and water system maintenance. We also include free food for you to cook. You are invited to use as much rice, beans, lentils, salt, pepper and seasonal fruits and veges from the farm. Anything additional you might need you will have to provide for yourself.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 21 and 45 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Activities & Shift

We normally start the day at around 7:00am and work until 12:00 pm the afternoon your yours to explore and discover.


Rules

Remember the farm is in the middle of the jungle. So you you need to bring the following
Boots, long pants, long sleeve shirts, mosquito repellents a hat. If you have allergies please bring your epy pen or first aid kit. Remember I am providing only rice, beans, lentils Avena salt and pepper. You will have to bring anything else you want to eat with you.
Transport to the farm is 20000 pesos per person in motorcycle taxi from either Santa Marta or Minca. or I can pick you up in the jeep for either town for 50000 pesos
