The experience

We're an English club trying to bring some alternative teaching methods through art, painting, music, and dance (especially in begginer classes).

The Students don't have their own books. We have books to prepare lessons and we use the internet. We print worksheets for the students.

A normal day :
- 1-2 hour preparing classes
- 2 hours teaching students in the afternoon
- 1 hour walk with grandma Gloria/ private lesson with daughter Camilla


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 60 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

We live together and work together. You will live in your own room, but we share the kitchen. We can prepare lessons together, if you want. We can do activities together like walking and gym if you like but and you are also welcome to your own time, ofcourse. We are flexible and just want you to feel welcome and at home.

We teach kids as well as beginners of all ages. Some classes have mixed age groups, including intermediate and advanced.

Please be aware that we prefer people with teaching experience.

We would love somebody who teach us a new dishes, However we do have a wondreful cook Maria who provides lunch for you, we are happy to teach you some hondurian receipes.


Activities & Shift

The volunteer can choose when they want to prepare classes. There are not fixed hours. I'm always there to help you if you want.

Advanced class: 15:00 - 16:00
Intermediate class 17:00 - 18:00

Walking with Gloria is early in the morning and private lessons with my daughter are flexable.
