The experience

We are just about to start decorating the whole house so experienced painters welcome :-)

We have a large garden so need help with clearing, pruning, weeding, mowing and larger garden projects such as building raised beds, fencing and renovating our garden room.

General housekeeping - there is always a mountain of children’s laundry to fold and put away!

Creative/ outdoor play/ sports with the kids. They are energetic and fun! :-)

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

We are 40 minutes by bicycle or 20 minutes by bus from the bustling city of Cambridge. It is a beautiful city and a great place to practice your English or just spend time if you are an English speaker. We are also only 50 minutes on the train from London. We would be happy to give lifts when we are going into town and we have a bike to borrow. The village is 5 miles from the city centre and has a pub, and a shop that is open from 7am to 7pm.

There are miles and miles of beautiful countryside walks around the house.

Activities & Shift

We are just about to start decorating the whole house - there will be lots of painting, especially gloss-work! We always have kids laundry to fold and put away. The kids love creative play and there is always general housekeeping to do!

We home educate so spend a lot of time at home, baking, playing, sports, arts, walks, games in the garden etc

Some hours on the weekend would always be good too, as we do lots of gardening and trips out together as a family on the weekends.

You will have 2 days off in a row if you want, to go exploring :-)

We usually work from around 9am until 2pm so you have the rest of the day to yourself, but we are flexible.
