I had an amazing experience at Canta Claro! Such an immersive and fun environment and feel I have learnt so much more about Colombian culture. Definitely recommend to everyone!

I had the best time at the reserve! Julio and the team at the farm are super friendly, sociable and flexible. Every day we did something new and fun: helping with fence maintenance, repairing and painting, milking cows and obviously riding horses. Before Arriving I had little to no experience riding horses, but after my 2 week stay I felt super comfortable and we spent many days on horseback, herding, feeding and de worming cows. It is one of the most beautiful places I've been to, so peaceful and out of the way. Pretty sunsets and sunrises, would recommend to anyone who is interested. Thanks!

Life changing experience ! Very new lifestyle to me, but so worth it. Got to immerse myself in the cow boy's lifestyle of Casanare. You'll wake up with the rooster, eat bone broth for breakfast with delicious arepas from Linda, join Hugo Xavier and Julio the workers on their daily tasks (lot's of horses riding, cow treating, machete, gardening, repairing…) enjoy the beautiful landscapes, discover so much fauna and meet amazing people willing to share their culture and skills. Discovered so much, especially on myself out of my comfort zone. (Please kiss Bomba for me she is the sweetest dog)

Hi everyone! I stayed at the reserve for 3 weeks and all I can say is that it's one of the best decisions I have made. Everyone here is just wonderful and caring people that truly want you to enjoy your experience at the reserve. My last 2 days of my stay my parents came to visit me at the reserve as turists and they truly loved there stay and to also experience Los Llanos. It have been an amazing journey to experience Los llanos with the reserve and I can recommend everyone to do it! These memories will forever be in my heart<3 Gracias por todo the reserve!

Spending time at the reserve was beyond my expectations!!! Met the loveliest, warmhearted people that gave me a new perspective of life. Would recommend this place to everyone who wants to get in touch with nature, learn about the cowboy-lifestyle of Colombia and of course eat the best food!!!

Far from everything, the reserve Farm is a haven of peace off the beaten path, where you'll have a unique experience and immersion in Llanero culture. You'll tend to cattle on horseback, care for calves, milk cows in the morning to make cheese, and on Sundays, enjoy piranha fishing in the river. Julio is very friendly and takes the time to teach you the work; being a traveler himself, he listens to your needs. You may need to be prepared to sleep in a hammock and wash with a bucket of water, but that's all part of the experience. I learned so much for the first time at the reserve, thank you !

I loved my time in the finca named Cabta Claro. It is situated in the savane far from everything, the landscape and the wild life is amazing there. The finca is really cute and peacefull. You have to be ready for the rooster to sing quite early, sleep in a hamac and take a shower with a basket ! 😀 There s some horse riding pretty often to check the finca or get the cows. This is quite a journey to get there, the Finca is 2h30 hours driving on gravel road into the wild from Hato Corozal. Best option might be to take a bus from Yopal and meet Julio there in the house of his dad.

I have spent 2 weeks at the finca the reserve with Don Julio and Don Julio. I liked this experience in total nature! It's been a great two weeks! I absolutely loved it! The farm is magnificent, with lots of animals. A typical day starts with a hearty breakfast, then you put on your boots and set off on horseback to: vaccinate the cows, change the meadow cows, operate the water machines, check whether the cows are pregnant or not, heal the cows, repair the meadow posts, feed the hens and pigs, cut the horses' manes, etc... These two weeks on the farm have been amazing ! Thank you !

I went to the Ranch with a friend and we had a great time there. Julio picked us up from the airport und we could go with him to the ranch which was really nice. Also, the work we had to do was riding horses, going fishing and much more the reserve based tasks. For me it was so nice, the team was helpful and nice, and besides Julio only speaks spanish. Thank you so much for the great time! Carla & Julius
