My two weeks in the camping was both enjoyable and enriching. it allowed me to experience many new things~from fruit picking to making dried apples and preparing plums and greengages, for example. I immediately found Andy to be a knowledgeable and witty person. Getting along with other volunteers was a pleasure too; we shared lovely moments, especially the fun evening card games, which I will surely miss. The work itself was not complicated, and our working hours were well-respected. On rest days, I had the chance to explore the surrounding area, adding to the overall positive experience!

This was my fifth time volunteering at the camping. It was a bit different though as I ran the campground several days a week while Andy was teaching in London. So, I was more involved in the administrative side of things like check ins and running the credit card machine. I also cleaned the toilets and showers, changed the caravans for new guests. We had two massive gardening projects but there were three wonderful volunteers from South America that really helped. As always, we had lots of fun together. Highly recommend this experience and will be back next summer

I stayed for two weeks in June and had a lovely time. My main tasks were housekeeping and gardening, and the work was well organized and not too demanding. Andy was kind and welcoming, and I enjoyed the shared dinners, it was a great chance to connect, practise English, and try different kinds of food. We each took turns cooking, which made it feel like a the camping community. The accomodation was comfortable, and the area is beautiful, and the town of Retford is close enough to reach by foot. It was a peaceful and social experience. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time at the camping ! Andy is really nice, and the place is beautiful and quiet. The tasks are simple and not too demanding. If you love plums, I recommend you to come in July, there were so many to pick up !! The diners were always a great time to speak with everyone :) Otherwise, I would recommend to have a car if you want to explore around !

Andy and liza are amazing! They welcome and take care of you like family. Working for them is easy because you work out of gratitude for them. They are extremely patient with your English, tell excellent stories, and know a the camping bit about everything, such is just wonderful. Oh, and cooks sooo well, such is a huge bonus - I will never forget the backberry crumble 😂. The work is not hard, and they completely understand changes in the weather or if you're tired. I really recommend this volunteer! Thank you, Liza e Andy, for everything 💖

A great experience. I spent a month at Andy and Liza's house. Simple cleaning and gardening work, in which I was able to learn a lot. The working hours were good and allowed us to get to know the town of Retford and the surrounding area. Great to get away from it all. I was able to learn a lot of English and above all practice my communication skills. Thank you very much!

We had a wonderful stay at the camping and, I can really recommend it, especially if you like nature. Retford is also a really beautiful place and is relatively close to bigger cities like Lincoln or Manchester. London is also easily accessible. I learned lots of new things and made many new life experiences. My English also improved as Liza and Andy really try their best to help you get better with speaking English. Liza and Andy are very lovely and understanding people!!
