The experience

Historika Hostel is a safe and fun space for all women from all backgrounds including trans women. A community of women created and developed by women. Each night our guest lives in our community we will donate 20 pesos to fund the stay of local women that must escape a domestic violence situation. What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

Additional fee required

Amount: MXN$ 500 Per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Requirements

Fluent Spanish or Fluent English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

As a hostel that will always have positive vibes with music, we also have a weekly jam session in our living room, where women will freely express their musical abilities or learn as they join us, this event is only open to women that are guest, volunteers, your amigas and our amigas that live in town. We also have weekly live concerts open to the public with beverages and food.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers that can clean, create murals, make content for social media and maintain our garden. Volunteers that have experience in video editing, graphic design, directing, production, acting, directing or with a camera. We will be recording multiple events with many popular musicians and some other film projects. Our volunteers must be willing to work 5 shifts a week for 3 hours a shift. If you also have experience as a bartender or food service industry, we also have a position available for you.
