Program Details
This is only the second school in Nagarkot, nice Nepalese village in Bhaktapur district; a 1.5 hrs bus ride from Kathmandu. It hopes to provide an English medium education for underprivileged children. The school has 7 staff members taking care of its 80+ students - aged from 4 to 12 years old, and would benefit from any help volunteers can provide.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers can expect to as class helpers and also share teaching tips with the school if they can. Volunteers can also help beautify the classrooms murals to help the kids as visual aids during their school time. Becoming an independent class teacher is also an option for long-term volunteers as soon as they have a grasp on the school's curriculum and vision for students.
