The Experience

Posting this the last week of February. We are looking for spring help to set up camp and get ready for summer. This position is perfect for a couple as the village is super quiet until summer starts. The thaw is just weeks away and we have simple homestead chores that need attention. The garden starters need tending to and the main house needs some love . When the snow melts we Weill need garden help too.

Tom, Jen, and Raven were wonderful host! If you're looking for the Alaskan lifestyle in a remote village then this is the place! The work hours was very much flexible, and the work was fun! Fishing, kayaking, ATV's, all perks of the job as well! Dinners were fantastic as well! Bear meat, fresh halibut fish, and smoked brisket about once a week- pretty hard to beat! Overall, the summer was great with the Dietrich's, I would definitely recommend them and would do it again next summer if I could!
