Cooking what our acres and meadows provide - amongst lakes & sun

The place is beautiful and the work tasks are okay. The coworkers are patient and kind. However, depending on the accommodation you get, the experience can be very negative. The volunteer housing didn't meet my cleanliness standards, and the way food was managed didn't work for me. It might be a good experience for those looking for a countryside environment far from the city. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.

This was my first worldpackers experience, and I had a great time at the guest house working on the farm. The rooms I stayed in (I had to change twice) were all lovely. The staff were friendly, and the food provided was good. Breakfast was provided every day, and lunch too on weekdays, with ingredients for evening meals being provided for volunteers to cook themselves. I will say that the host could work on improving the communication of practical information about the inner workings of the farm and in the hotel, and volunteer duties. A positive experience on the whole, I will be back :)

This experience was incredible. We were there for about two months and at all times we felt comfortable and connected with the hosts and the other volunteers. We totally recommend this experience if you want to disconnect and learn about life and work on a farm. Without a doubt, we would do it again. At all times the hosts were kind and understanding of our needs, there really is a very good atmosphere between the workers and volunteers.

I arrived excited to learn about farming, but there was nothing to do. When I asked for tasks, they had nothing to give me, and I mostly worked in the kitchen, which was disorganized and poorly managed. The food was mediocre at best. I asked the host 15 days in advance if I could leave early since I wasn't getting the experience I was promised. He freaked out, claimed I was breaking our agreement, and told me to leave immediately. I had no choice but to go. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend going there.

We confirmed Nimrod for vononteering in the kitchen, as Nimrod announced that he is a very experienced chef. We agreed on him as he confirmed the stay until mid of January. This was important as we are running two restaurants and we really needed his help for the new Years Dinner. Our Head chef tried to introduce Nimrod in easy kitchen tasks for the the start. But Nimrod was unreliable from the beginnng on. And his announcement to leave earlier was the tip of the iceberg.

Beautiful place to disconnect from everything, my room was perfect and the tasks were not hard. The transportation it was kinda difficult to get to the nearest small town and to berlin that it's the nearest city

Working hours were respected, food was good, we had access to any ingredients we needed, and everyone was very sociable. We were given a building to sleep in which was sometimes cold, had bugs and had no doors. Four of the volunteers (including me) asked to be moved to different rooms, and this was no problem. It's a beautiful place, and the work I did was not too difficult. I was not working in the farm, so I can't really comment on what that experience is like. I would recommend the guest house!

The area is beautiful with many nearby lakes for swimming and great for road cycling. I'd recommend bringing your own road bike, though city bikes are available. Meals were somewhat lacking, with only breakfast and weekday lunch provided, but we received all the ingredients to cook for ourselves. The work was varied and enjoyable, though I only worked in service despite promises of kitchen tasks. The staff was really lovely. Rooms are in a converted barn with curtains instead of doors. Could get lonely because of the lack of other volunteers and social activities. Overall pleasant experience.

Not the experience I expected. The hosts are kind/respectful. The property is beautiful and the staff is very nice. I did learn a great deal. Huge lack of communication and disorganization with volunteers/rules. I ended up working way more than 25 hours a week even after asking not to. However, I was compensated for my extra time. The meals agreed to were not followed as well. Different people told me different things regarding what we could and could not eat. I did not get to travel and explore Germany like I would have liked due to working. Just not the right experience for me.

Our experience was great! Overall everything was amazing, we had a really nice private room, the host and the people woth whom we work are really nice, flexible and understanding. The food was good, they gave us the necesary ingredients for our meals (for us to cook ourselves), and during weekdays (monday to friday) there was a chef Who cooked for all the staff for midday. The only thing i would improve is the social aspect, because there were no other volunteers so we (me and my girlfriend) spent a lot of time with ourselves
