Live on the Beach Assisting in all aspects of a boutique Resort
The experience
Self starter, fearless, happy go lucky, friendly people to enjoy livng on the Beach and exploring Van Isl. Reception, bookings, social media, engaging with guests, cleaning and maitaining suites and all common aras. Some yard work, painting and watering. No devices are permitted during youyr shifts. Preperation of food is not provided, we do provide the basics. If you have food allergies, or special requirements, the grocery store is .5klms
What you offer
28 hours of help per week
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
3 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Intermediate English
Between 22 and 71 years old
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details
work days start at 11:00. We meet in the court yard for coffee at 10:30 to discuss the projects for the day,l then get together again in the afternoon for a drink and a chat. Still lots of time to get a hike in on our local trails, or go for a paddle
Activities & Shift
Your shift usually is 11-5 which still gives you plenty of time to go to the beach or hike one of the trails. On your 3 days off, you can explore the island, Victoria to the south, Tofino to the West or Telegraph cove to the North. All have different cultural experiences and wildlife. Depending on the guests needs.....we can offer you th watercraft when available, but not for more than an hr at a time. There isa clam/oyster bed out front, but you will need a valid fishing licence to harvest them
Rules
No smoking/vaping permit on the property or the beach below. Devices are not permitted during your working hrs, beach chairs/space are for guests only. There is a dedicated area for workers. The courtyard is yours to relax/eat and enjoy, but please Be mindful of noise levels for customers. We do not provide food for your days off, unless you are staying at the Resort. Picnic lunches ext. can be purchased at the gocery/liqour store. Having fun is important, but if you are still enjoying fun time bring it inside, or down to the beach area after 11 p.m.
