Program Details

We are a sociable family of three. Besides being a teacher, I am the owner of an English center in Thailand, while my husband is a practicing otolaryngologist and a medical school lecturer in Thailand too. Our son has just relocated to the United States for his studies, hence I sometimes fly back and forth between Thailand and the USA just to see him. He has just got enrolled in a U.S. high school.

In my absence from Thailand, my assistant along with the team take care of welcoming the volunteers and making sure everything goes on without a hitch. I am still communicating and collaborating with my volunteers via online means. We are very much into having fun with people from different parts of the world, cooking together, and telling stories over meals made from quality food. I had good experience with all my previous volunteers.

Activities & Shift

Native English speakers are the people we are searching for: those that enjoy children's company and those that wish to share their language with kids in a playful manner. The majority of the help will be at our little English school. You may take part in short conversation or activity classes along with Thai students. No teaching qualifications are required — just share your friendly nature and be ready to talk, play games, or read simple stories with the kids. If you are a beginner with no teaching credentials, that's fine! We will instruct you and make it achievable.

Once in a while, we might also appreciate a little assistance at home — keeping everything neat and organized or helping with sorting pictures and data. It is a very easy-going environment and my staff is always around just in case you need help. We simply want our volunteers to enjoy their time with the students and the family, and not to feel under any pressure.

Regular classes are generally held on weekends but the timetable could vary slightly from month to month. English Camp students (March, April, May, and October) also have weekday classes filled with fun activities, usually not too different from the regular classes.

If there is anything you would like to know, do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We have had many volunteers in the past, and we have had nothing but fun times together — a lot of laughs and great memories!

Our lovely maid can help cook easy Thai food, or you can cook whatever you like. We provide simply local Thai food that different from tourist destinations.

We keep some basic ingredients at home, but you might want to get your favorite yogurt snacks or drinks like milk, coffee, tea, fruit juice, soda. There’s a 7-Eleven about five minutes’ walk away where you can grab snacks and anything else you need. The gym is 5 minutes away but you need to pay to get in. It’s cheap and quiet.

The house is quiet and cozy — a nice place to relax after spending the day with the students. 🌿
