I had a wonderful time at the farm Elisio with Maria Theres. If you're looking to unwind from city life and immerse yourself more into nature and country living, this is a great opportunity. The work is not very demanding (although I wasn't there in-season), and Maria Theres does not ask much of you, only to make yourself at home and treat it like such. Maria Theres is a bright, busy, and formidable woman who needs help looking after her finca, her chickens, her 5 dogs and 2 cats. There is plenty of time to relax and she will always take the time to conversate and teach about Colombian culture

We stayed for two weeks looking after the dogs and hens. Was a great experience to recharge the battery for more travel.

We really enjoyed our time at the farm! Our favourite part was spending time with the 5 dogs and 2 cats which was really fun. We went in January so it wasnt coffee or fruit season so there wasn't a heavy workload for us, mostly involved tending to the chickens. If you would like to rest and recharge and connect with nature this is a great place to do so. Thanks Maria for a lovely stay!

Maria's farm is a lovely isolated spot, truly in nature, with beautiful views. Maria welcomed us into her home with her family members also there for Easter on the first few days, which was very nice. In terms of the volunteering, we felt there was not much to do, nor what we expected. Collecting coffee beans only took us a couple of hours due to minimal in season, and we would have appreciated being made aware prior to the trip that there would not be much at all for us to do, besides feeding the dogs and hens. We were left for days at a time alone on the farm without Maria, with no work.

The farm was beautiful and extremely peaceful. The season was dry so there wasn't as much to do on the farm but you feed the chickens, look after the 5 beautiful dogs and have access to mandarins and peaceful time to meditate, yoga, read, and write. I had such great conversations with Maria and learned about indigenous peoples and history of the town, which is very important. If you are looking for a more laid place to see Colombia and small town living, then this is the place for you. Thank you Maria for the wonderful stay, I will be back again!

We had a lovely time with Maria on her farm, the house was great with a private room, and the farm was beautiful and relaxing. We loved the dogs and we were able to learn how to cook a lot of Colombian food such as arepa's and empanadas! We were expecting a planting/harvesting volunteer role before we arrived and most reviews mention coffee harvesting, but it wasn't the season when we arrived so there wasn't a huge amount for us to do! HOWEVER, Maria really made an effort to give us things to do, for example she organised us volunteering in the local school which was amazing!

We had an amazing time at the finca of Maria! If you are looking for a unique experience off the beaten track in Colombia then this is definitely it! Life at the finca is very peaceful and daily tasks include cooking, collecting fruit, collecting coffee and feeding the animals at the finca. Maria is a very welcoming host and a great person to practise your Spanish with in a natural way! If you dont speak a lot of Spanish dont worry, Maria also speaks English. We loved our experience and felt like it contributed a lot to getting a complete image of Colombia during our travels.

We had a great time learning how to plant coffee and living life like Colombian locals for two weeks. The host is very nice and helped us a lot and we got to learn farm life and improve our Spanish with the worker lady Gema during the day! She makes very good food and is always attentive to our needs. Truly recommend if you want to visit the countryside of Colombia.
