Program Details

Living in a family is very different from volunteering in hostels or hotels. Therefore, who is used to volunteering in hostels, where hosts offer just B&B, usually no lunch or dinner, and nothing else, must know that here we offer much more. First of all, a full immersion in Italian language for free, all the food (even during the days off in exchange of some help in the kitchen/cooking), pizza, cinema and several extras.

We need daily help in the morning with common home duties, including taking care of food for the two of us (lunch and dinner) and our pets. Apart from the minimum stay requirement of 1 month, which is the platform's limit, we are looking for a traveler that can stay for a longer period (as a 2 month minimum stay) or, better, who is looking for Italian citizenship and need to learn Italian. We never ask any fee and never ask our guests any contribution to the taxes which depend on the number of family members (in case our guests need "residenza"). We would be able to host a couple or a pair of female friends. Who is planning to change their life moving to Italy, could start contacting us.

We teach the Italian language very correctly, we offer full immersion in a highly educated Italian family, whose standards are certainly international. In one sentence, we offer much more than we receive with the help of 6 hours a day (5 days a week).
Even we live in a quiet place, far from downtown, we are always pleased to help our volunteers during their days off bringing them to the train/bus station.

Who cannot understand the value of such an offer, is kindly asked to avoid sending their application.
The volunteers who think that during the days off they can cook for themselves, or that we must cook for them, should avoid sending their application.

Activities & Shift

Daily duties in the morning (laundry, ironing, dusting, vacuum cleaner, feeding pets....)
Cooking lunch and dinner and leave the kitchen always clean, also after breakfast.
About 4 hours in the morning, plus cooking and clean kitchen lunch and dinner (about 2 hours totally). We prefer volunteers with driving license valid in Italy.
We have a nice garden: we also need some help with basic tasks.

Rules

We host only educated travelers, who are used to live in a clean environment.
Our home is not an hotel or an hostel. It's a family.
Volunteering here doesn't mean being on vacation!
Who thinks that daily home duties are very heavy, is not welcome.
Our routine and organization must be respected and followed.
The volunteers' room and restroom must be kept clean during the spare hours or spare days. Towels and sheets must be washed weekly.
It is forbidden to leave the house without notice.
No selfish, lazy, dirty people.
No smoking in the house, or nearby.
No cigarettes left on the grass.
No music and noises day & night.
No drugs. No alcohol. No addictions.
No high protein diet. We have a rich, balanced and high quality diet. In case of allergies or dietary restrictions, we will do our best. But our resources are not intended to cover a high-protein diet (especially for bodybuilding purposes).

WE ARE READY TO HOST VOLUNTEERS WHO UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT WE OFFER — BEYOND B&B AND MEALS — IS A GIFT, NOT AN OBLIGATION.
