The experience

This position suits travelers interested in horses or content creation who are comfortable contributing in a working rural environment.

Volunteers assist with either equestrian support or content and media, depending on experience. Horse care may include grooming and basic stable tasks. Riding is not guaranteed and depends on experience and safety assessment.

Amount: US$ 35 Per day

Description: Volunteers pay USD 40/day for three meals, bed tea, private air conditioned ranch accommodation, plus linen and laundry. Free horse ride included in this category. USD 35/day for three meals, bed tea, private non air conditioned ranch accommodation, plus linen and laundry. No horse ride included in this category.

Program Details

This position is intended for individuals with practical skills in digital content creation or equestrian environments who agree to contribute within a structured, working ranch operation.

Volunteers may assist with content creation (photo, video, written material, reviews) and/or basic equestrian support, depending on prior experience and suitability. All activities are assigned at our discretion.

Any horse handling or riding is conditional, subject to safety assessment, and not guaranteed. Volunteers acknowledge that this is not a training program, internship, or leisure experience.

By accepting this position, volunteers agree to follow instructions, respect operational boundaries, and understand that participation is part of a work-exchange arrangement rather than a guest stay.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers assist with digital content tasks such as photography, video, basic editing, written content, and reviews, depending on skill level and project needs. Additional digital support may be assigned at our discretion.

Equestrian-related activities, including grooming or riding, may be offered only where appropriate and after experience and safety assessment. Participation is conditional and not guaranteed.

Work hours are agreed in advance (approximately 5 hours per day). Shifts and activities are set by operational needs rather than personal preference. This is a working environment, not a leisure program.

Rules

Privacy: Volunteers and staff must not exchange personal contact details or connect on social media.

Boundaries: Volunteers may not enter staff accommodation or restricted operational areas. Staff do not enter volunteer quarters.

Meals: Meals are served in the designated dining area at set times (Breakfast 08:30, Lunch 12:30, Dinner 19:30).

Extras: Additional food, snacks, or beverages are available at a separate cost.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside buildings or accommodation areas.

Payment: Program fees are payable on arrival. Accepted methods: USD or LKR cash, or credit card.

Operations: Volunteers must not interfere with ranch management, staff duties, or operational decisions.
