It was my first experience with Worldpackers and i'm totally satisfied with it. the tasks were super easy so you have plenty of time to explore the surroundings in the afternoon or in your free days. there's a lot to see (cities, little cute villages, castles etc..)and you can easily reach everything by train. you can also join the Alpaca tours whenever you want with Linda and it's a wonderful experience. She's really nice and also Andreas is a lovely host, very kind and welcoming who really cares that you have a fantastic stay. one tip: bring warm clothes cause it can get really cold🥶

My time at Bad Salzig hostel was absolutely amazing!! Andreas was an incredible host, warm, welcoming and kind, he made me feel so at home and always communicating tasks super clearly. The work is very simple and doesn't take long at all giving u the rest of the day to explore the beautiful nature around Bad Salzig and visit all the cute little towns that are along the hostel. Not to mention i got to meet so many people as they passed through the hostel so despite being the only volunteer i never felt lonely😊 i couldn't recommend this enough!! I really hope to be back one day✨

I'm glad that this happened to be my first volunteering experience because Andreas doesn't only want his guests to have the best stay, but also his volunteers. :) Communication was smooth and the hostel was really nice (but it could get rather cold in the kitchen/lounge area despite August, so take something warm). I've stayed only two weeks but it's too short - I recommend staying at least a month and also visiting some local festivals. I've made friends with some international travelers. I recommend checking in the hostel even if you don't plan on volunteering, you won't regret it. 😊

Had a really nice time here, it's a very small peaceful village with easy access to surrounding towns, the work was super easy to do and Andy and Linda were the best hosts!

It was my first volunteering experience and I can only be totally satisfied with it! The activities to be performed are very simple and do not require too much effort, thanks to this you have a lot of free time to visit the beautiful area where the hostel is located. The possibility of being in contact with nature and the hostel made my stay even better. I recommend this experience to everyone!

Working in the hostel with Andy and Linda was amazing! I really thank you guys for sharing with us a little bit of your time and story, and for helping with everything you could! All in all, I leave the hostel with some new friends (including the hostel 😁). Plus a lot of memories of the kilometers we got to know from the area, a 100% recommendable place for nature lovers.

Andy and Linda were amazing hosts! Everything was as expected and they made extra efforts to give us the best experience they could and to help with our adaption to the new language and country. All in all we leave the hostel with a bitter-sweet sensation because we would like to stay longer! But at the same time we take with us an incredible experience and a deeper understanding of the german people and culture. We hope the best for them and we're sure that our paths will cross again soon.

Andi and Linda are both lovely, inclusive and very accommodating to everything. The work takes around 2 hours and it's doing things like cleaning the 2 bathrooms, wiping surfaces, and vacuuming the hostel. All the hours are respected. There is a lot to see in the region such as other cities and castles, however, I was the only volunteer so there isn't a chance to meet anyone. In saying that, you can definitely keep yourself busy and the trains are easy to manage.
