The experience
Hi together
We are a small hostel in San Cristobal, near to the city center. We have a family vibe and often have an exchange with guests who are staying here.
Where you will work:
- Check-ins and -outs
- Manage bookings
- Maintenance (wiping floors, making beds, etc.)
- prepare breakfast for volunteers & guests
- gardening
We expect:
- responsability and adult behavior
You'll live in a room with two volunteers and work in 4.5 to 5 hour shifts.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Requirements
Beginner Spanish and Intermediate English
Over 20 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
What's not included
Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
As you will have contact to guests from many different countries you should feel comfortable in speaking English and Spanish.
A big plus is if you have some experience in cooking for a group of people.
We appreciate comunicative personalities that like to help us providing a memorable stay for our guests.
Activities & Shift
We have 3 shifts per day:
- morning (preparing breakfast, cleaning kitchen, ckeck-outs, making beds, ckeck for bookings)
- afternoon (ckeck-ins, ckeck bookings, maintenance)
- evening (ckeck-ins, maintenance)
You will work alone during the shift but at the start everything will be explained carefully and you can always contact the others or the host.
