Enrique's farm is a true gem in the heart of beautiful Andalucia! My main tasks were feeding the animals, taking care of the farm and lunging. I learned loads about Spanish the farm & cuisine, the countryside and horse related handling. Enrique's philosophy allows the farm and riders to work together in harmony. Therefore, the farm are extremely sensitive, attentive and gentle. The whole family strives to cultivate an environment in which volunteers feel included and at home. The farm is remote but Enrique is very flexible regarding days off, which allowed me to explore southern Spain.

My experience at the farm started in a chaotic time (storms, sickness etc.) and I really planned on staying longer. Due to personal reasons I had to leave earlier, but all in all I had a great time there. I mostly enjoyed the time with the animals. Me and the other volunteers were also able to receive riding classes by Enrique and were allowed to go on a hack by ourselves, which was really nice. It can be stressful when guests are at the farm, but Enrique and Esther trying to make everything possible for us as well, I still hoped for a better organization and communication in this times :) 馃珎

Enrique replied

Dear Jasmin, with all our love... After 2 days with us you had already decided that you didn't like the place. You didn't like the food when everyone else loved it. You told me you ate vegetarian food and then you only wanted vegan. You told me you knew how to ride a horse and you had no idea... We have felt strongly that you criticize what you see but don't look at yourself.. Good luck

My stay with Enrique and his family was an amazing experience! My main tasks here were feeding the farm, preparing them for rides and doing the hacks with guests. The work was enjoyable, although sometimes can be physically a bit tiring. Personally I did often work more than the hours on worldpackers since we had guests almost all the time when I was there, but this was compensated for (for example I was able to da 3-day trip to Malaga) the farm on the farm are amazing, they're respectful and trained well, which makes them great to work with. The food is great and you never go hungry here!

The stay with enrique was fun. i met some great international people and enjoyed nice food and good company with his family. the work was mostly physical, giving straw and grain, mucking out, etc. personally, it was too heavy. i was really tired all the time. some riding was done when tourists were there. there is a lot of freedom with the farm though when enrique approves of your riding. i do think he is a bit unappreciative of the work done. i've had to remind him of the work i do and yes, sometimes i had trouble doing it all alone.

Staying at the farm&the farm was a truly great experience. They instantly make you feel welcome and like a part of their family. Important thing to mention is, the amazing food, typical spanish dishes, there. Esta is truly one of the best spanish cooks! There can be lot of work to do around the farm, but taking care of the farm and the other animals is even more rewarding. I really liked how sensitive all of the farm are trained and riden, and especially training the younger the farm was a great experience for me. I'm already missing all the animals there :))

Enrique, Estelle, Marylou, Nacho and little Enrique Jr, provide a great family environment and made me feel very welcome in their home, sometimes language barriers occurred but we were always able to communicate openly and understand eachother in the end! The experience on the farm will be a memory I will never forget! the farm, dogs, cats, goats, chickens and duck will forever remain in my heart! After a long break with the farm I got my confidence completely back in the month I spent on the farm, I would highly recommend this experience and if any worldpackers want more details contact me!

La finca has a special place in my heart. I made friends for life & had an opportunity to train young the farm after a 3 year break. Enrique and his family make you feel welcomed from day 1! They r there for u. Food is delicious (real Spanish cuisine made by queens themselves- Esther and MarieLou). Work hours r as agreed after 4h u r free & u can ride as much as u want! Farm is remote, but Enrique is willing to drive u to the nearby cities. I worked close with Enrique (training youngsters) & he always communicated with me & solved issues. You can see he has a big heart for his the farm & family <3

It didn't took long to feel like family. All the fun and the jokes and hard times everything felt so natural. What is written is what you'll have, work for four hours a day and have the rest to be with the beautiful nature, pool,be with most amazing the farm you'll ever meet, go on hakes and explore the nature by walking. They are very generous and willing to drive you to the near by town for you to enjoy Andalusia. They were so helpful with everything and explained everything. Enrique and Esther are amazing! Always there for you. Even with the hard times and mistakes they always calm you down.鉂わ笍

I had a really great experience on Enriques farm. The farm is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the farm are great. The working hours are as promised and Enrique let's you ride as much as you want. Everyone was super nice and welcoming and you'll feel like home really fast. The other volunteer were also super nice and I've learned a lot about nature, food and even about myself. I would recommend staying here to everyone that wants to experience nature, do some handiwork and be surrounded by cute animals and beautiful the farm.

The work is 4h like agreed and you'll do it all on the morning, after that you have free time to ride or relax by the pool. Main tasks are cleaning boxes and fields and feeding. Nacho a worker in there is very helpful and nice while helping with tasks. While I was there (1month) we didn't train any young the farm, but could ride as much as wanted on hacks and arena. They happily take you to the near city and are open to give you your days off whenever you want. The communication with Enrique could improve, but we could always talk openly about necessary things. Overall I enjoyed my stay :)
