The atmosphere is very good and I have met wonderful people there. But the place where we slept had no natural light and only had one window. There was also a meeting every day at half past six so we couldn't spend time outside the hostel or take the opportunity to spend our free day outside because we had to be there at that time. They also don't provide breakfast and lunch, they only give 15 euros to buy food for 10 people. Finally, the work schedules are not as indicated in worldpackers, because we had the cleaning shift and then the pubcrawl and other additional tasks that are still work.

I recommend asking about the condition of your room first. Keep in mind that they don't offer breakfast and lunch as such, what they offer is 15€ for all volunteers (at the time I was there we were about 15-20 of us). If you're looking to party every day, this is the place for you. If you're looking to have time to visit/travel at the same time, this is not the place. I met amazing people there and I will definitely never forget this experience.

If you're thriving for party and enjoy meeting people every day, then you will enjoy your stay in Bratislava! I enjoyed my time there but one thing that was unexpected to me was the amount of food given to the volunteers, which was not enough at all. Keep in mind you will have to buy food with your own savings when volunteering there. But other than that, the tasks were really easy and always done in a good mood, everyone has always been very friendly and caring about each other and I'm glad I got to meet all these nice people!

Had a fun time, the ambience was great. I mainly did cleaning shift, but sometimes took longer than expected. I went in July so it was due to it being high season, although that could improve. Also we had to do some extra activities during the week (shopping..) which were easy, but still work. The vibe was very hostel and community ( daily meetings and night activities), very fun, but means that you have little free time, so if you are looking for somewhere where you can be more autonomous, this is something to consider. I recommend the place if you are looking for party and socializing!

My time at Urban might have been short but it's definitely something to remember. The people, the dungeon, the night activities. It was what I expected, my 25 hours and unlimited partying. I met some amazing people that I'll be happy to go back to the hostel to see them again. My personal suggestion is stay for longer than 2 weeks so you can do more than just the cleaning. Have fun, stay there, be there for as many sundays and wednesdays as you possibly can because these are the night swim nights:)

The hostel is great for meeting international travelers, connecting with other volunteers, partying, and generally being social. However, I wouldn't recommend it for digital nomads or if you want to travel around the area a lot because as a volunteer you're expected to give a lot of time and volunteer for activities several times a week. I met some absolutely wonderful people, but ended up leaving early because I didn't have time for my online job like I thought I would.

This is a party Hostel. I had to leave early because I wasn't happy here. It was expected to lead events on off days and after working regular shifts. Everyone worked more time than agreed upon. Most people bought their own breakfast and lunch because the fridge was mostly empty. Dinner is provided. Most people were very welcoming, but management is intimidating. The work was simple, and the tasks were well organized. Staff beds and pillows were super stained, but I was given clean sheets. If you can overcome certain pressures, then you might enjoy your time here.

I loved it here! The people were amazing, the hours were respected, and I met so many amazing people. I had to leave early for personal reasons, but I am so grateful for my time here. I definitely recommend it, especially if you want to meet people from all over the world. The volunteer room is slightly rundown, but it soon becomes home and everyone respects each other in the room. Thank you to everyone at The Elephant's hostels for making my experience so good :)

I had a great time at Wild the hostel! My job was managing the social media, and Freddy was a really supportive and encouraging manager. The job was fun and challenging :) Overall, the experience was amazing and a bit overwhelming too, because we were all pressured to do daily activities and pub crawl every night, so I didn't have many alone times. Also, I don't like the idea of being looked at who I am with (it's not allowed to be with other volunteers), but that's what you agree on at the beginning. It's the perfect place for partying really cheap and a centric city to travel ;)

Thanks for the lovely feedback, Sandra, we really appreciate :)

To avoid misunderstandings, yes, we want you all to come here so you can get involved with other guests, join activities with them, and create an atmosphere when our bar opens at 8 pm, that's the reason for us having volunteers.

In this spirit, of meeting and involving guests in all of our activities, yes, if you decide to join us you will be asked from day one to not hook up with other volunteers so to prevent clickiness and loss of motivation toward who is actually important: the guests. We know we all make mistakes, especially after a few drinks, but repeating the mistake knowingly is just not ok. Have fun with guests tho :)

We want you all to be comfortable taking your deserved day or night off, but keep in mind that we'll still be pushing and inviting everyone to do and join everything as this is how we've been doing for the last ten years: all together as one group taking care of a place we live, like and love, involving the guests in all we do with the understanding that we came here to live and experience something different for a very limited time, so do enjoy and live everything as much as you can :) Most people leave us not believing that is time to go and wanting to come back, so Carpe Diem et Noctem :D

Safe travels to you all, stay wild and hydrated!
