The experience

Hi there!
We are a family-owned glamping resort on the island of Kos, Greece. Between May and November we are open for 100 guests. For set-up we need to rebuild and clean our glamping tents, unpack and care for hotel furniture, do some sanding, oiling, painting, get the gardens in order and set up our restaurant & reception. Right now we are in winter state which means that we have no guests and it is much more quiet than in the summer months.

Program Details

The work will start off with a lot of gardening and making sure the place has a proper clean up after the winter, we will be setting up our tents, moving furniture, building things, moving things around, making signs, painting, a lot of cleaning as well ....

We need people who are physically fit, not afraid of heights and can use critical thinking. Working very well in a team. You must be able to work under a chain of command and independently. We need clean and rebuild our large tents, prepare the gardens, maintain furniture, open our restaurant and paint everything so its fresh to start the summer.

U don't need to have a lot of experience, you just need to be motivated.

If you have a special skill that could be of use. EG. carpentry, plumbing, crafts, please let us know! we are always looking for specially skilled labourers.

Activities & Shift

An average day during set up is actually very nice, you wake up in one of our tents and can make yourself breakfast with whatever we have in our breakfast bar, we start work around 8-9 AM and do all kinds of jobs depending on what we need to do. We stop around 1-2 PM and all have warm lunch together. After that you are free to go and explore the island, go to the beach with is a 10 minute walk or stay in and spend some time with the other volunteers or our family, whatever you prefer. In the evening you can make yourself dinner with the leftovers or everything that we have in the fridge or you can go to do store and buy whatever you'd like but there is always enough for everyone.
