Being with Kii was a wonderful experience. His home is very comfortable and welcoming, and he made me feel at home the entire time. We had so much fun, and I also got to enjoy a really nice cultural immersion! He took me to explore many different places, and I loved every one of them. As a woman traveling alone, I can say without a doubt that Cairo is a place where I felt safe at all times. The Egyptian people were incredibly kind and treated me really well! This experience was essential for me to realize that not everything negative we see on social media about the country is true. Tks 🤎

I absolutely loved staying with Kii. He was incredibly welcoming, making sure I got in okay with a driver he organised as I got into the airport very late at night. Over the course of my stay I had my own room with air conditioning and space to keep my stuff which helped me adjust well and feel at home right away. We went around to a bunch of local spots, restaurants and activities (my favourite was taking a boat down the Nile). I felt super safe as a female solo traveller and would highly recommend for someone wanting to see the real Cairo!!

He is a super smart and nice guy, at the beginning I must say it was a bit weird because it was my first experience with Worldpackers, and I arrived in Egypt in a very hot week, and he didn't give me any activity to help him so I felt bad, but it's a more personal question. With time we understood each other better. The house is located far from the centre but that makes it safer, the neighbourhood is very nice, and there are easy connections with metro, or uber which is super cheap! I would have liked to have helped him but hopefully we can meet again!! I am already missing his cat ;(

I'm really thankful to have done this volunteering. Kii is very welcoming and helpful. The work depends on whatever event they're working on; for example I was working on the bar for an event but other volunteers were waitressing, and the event lasted less than my stay. The apartment is spacious and in a nice quiet zone in Cairo. Thank you for everything :)
