I had an amazing time at Espanglish and would highly recommend it to everyone. It was incredibly rewarding to help children and adults improve their English and I too learnt a lot throughout the month. It was also a very sociable experience as David was an amazing host who organised lots of events and I also got to know the local volunteers very well. Muchas Gracias David!

I had a great experience volunteering for the organization ! From the offset David and the local volunteers were so welcoming and made me feel at home. My favourite part was the opportunity to meet lots of different people from the kids at the project, the conversation participants to international and local volunteers, it has been great to immerse myself in the local culture and experience different activities like cycling to the project and surfing in Huanchaco. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone :)

The organization is a special place, I gained a lot from my experience there. Volunteering with the kids was an easy and lighthearted activity, meeting locals and getting the chance to form connections with them was an unexpected but valuable opportunity, and exploring around Trujillo was always an adventure. I have a lot of things I could say, but words could not explain what my time in Trujillo meant to me. I would mention that knowing a decent amount of Spanish could be very helpful to you, but overall people are kind if your Spanish skills (like me) are quite bad!

I had a wonderful time as a volunteer at the organization! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and made me feel at home. Trujillo has unique food, museums, and a beach town that's easy to get to. I helped with classes 4 times per week and did lots of activities related to the program, so volunteering days are very full usually. I learned a lot about communities in Trujillo and teaching English. There are opportunities to meet locals like community dinners and the conversation program. Thanks to all the friends who made my experience at the organization so amazing!

I really had a great time in Peru with the organization you meet locals that are really nice and show you around in Peru, you meet the children that are very sweet and kind. It was definitely an experience I will remember my whole life. What i especially appreciated is that David takes the time to make a videocall so you know what to expect. You pay for the place to sleep you have no food included but it's very worth it! You get to live in a hostel and if your lucky you can have a private room! I really had a crazy experience there I could go on for pages but you have to see it yourself!

I had an amazing time at the organization! David is a great host who makes you feel very comfortable and welcomed. The work with the children is really nice, pedagogic and doesnt even feel like work. Beside the english classes, we did lots of activities and had lots of fun. You also get to meet other volunteers as the house welcomes another NGO's volunteers + the conversation classes allows you to meet peruvians so that's also very cool. The housing is very nice and in a good neighborhood. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer! 100% recommand!

When I first arrived , I was surprised by the environment in which these very sweet children live. But, it became very clear that they are happy and taken care of. It was so lovely to be around children who are so motivated and truly happy to learn . I was amazed at how quickly they absorb material and honored to share English with them. David does a much needed and remarkable job to help these kids grow. The work is fun and a few hours a day , it did not feel like work. I loved the conversation class also and meeting such beautiful new friends I hope to see again . Thanks David (and Carmen)

David is a cool, friendly guy wo his always open for a chat or an activity. He built up an amazing NGO with the organization. We really felt that our work had an impact on the local communities in Trujillo. The kids were very interested and eager to learn. the organization Casa is a comfortable home where we had our own room and bathroom. Carmen, David's aunt who is also living in the Casa, was always there to help us when it came to household things such as cooking or fresh towels. Overall we can totally recommend David and the organization!

Volunteering with David has been a wonderful experience. The NGO is extremely well organised and we were fully integrated into the teaching from day one. Knowing basic Spanish was helpful but not a requirement. David was a lovely host and became a friend throughout our stay. Outside of work, David organises a lot of social activities which were great to connect with local Peruvians and other internationals. We can highly recommend David and his NGO to anyone who wants to volunteer in Peru!

My time in Trujillo staying with David was truly a wonderful and eye-opening experience. Interacting with and teaching the kids that were apart of the program was a very fulfilling opportunity. They are very excited to learn and all of them were very special kids. Trujillo was a fun city to live in with cool things to see, just be prepared to pay for your own transportation to the neighborhoods where the kids live by taxi and also for all of your own food/meals, drinking water, rent, etc.
